CTD between Helgen Cave and Riverwood

Heyho, Community!

I've always modded my skyrim, but since a few days I experience a CTD between Helgen Cave and Riverwood (right after the starting sequence).

It's always after the Standing Stones and before I can reach Riverwood.

It's not bound to a specific point, so it crashed when fighting the wolves as well as when I go straight to Riverwood (when I can barely see the gate to Riverwood).

When I wait in front of the cave or at the Standing Stones, nothing happens. So it doesn't seem to be a time-related thing.

Re-installing every. single. mod. didn't get me to find the issue - it worked fine. And when I started a new game, it crashed again.

LOOT has no messages for me (cleaned everything with TES5Edit) as you can see in the attached "LOOT messages.jpg".

I managed to take a Screenshot right before the moment it crashed. It's always more or less in this region (see http://postimg.org/image/oxk2yr7xl/)

Although I did everything as andr920 mentioned in this post http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3254954-how-to-ask-for-help-the-proper-way-to-make-skyrim-support-topics/, I got no Papyrus0.log - well, I didn't get any data into the folder C:\Users\[MyUserName]\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Logs.

My modlist: http://www.modwat.ch/u/Spartanary

My hardware, if it should be important:

  • CPU: INTEL Intel Core i5-6500 - 3,20 GHz
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
  • RAM: 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4
  • OS: Windows 10 Pro

All mods were installed via NMM 0.61.10.

The ENB-version is 279b.

I'd be so so grateful if anyone could tell me how to get rid of this ctd... Don't want to play without mods and I don't have any old saves where I was past Riverwood.

P.S.: travelling "around the spot" (going a different way) didn't work. I went a huge ark around the wolves but it crashed somewhere in the woods, too.

Thank you!

The area where you ctd is about where Riverwood cells would start loading as you approach. Try disabling your Riverwood Enhanced mod. It's a fairly old mod, maybe it's outdated by or conflicting with some newer patch.

Edit: Oh by the way, your papyrus log is in the script folder, in other words %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\skyrim\Logs\Script

The log just may be useful if a script is causing your ctd, you may see it kicking off and wigging out as you approach Riverwood.

Also try heading away from Riverwood from the standing stones, make your way west toward Falkreath, just to be sure it is Riverwood and not some other mod like the waterfall mod.
