Lately, my characters been harassed relentlessly by the dark brotherhood. I know that you're only supposed to attacked nine times or so by them. But I've been attacked by them over 20 times and most of those were two on one. Is there a reason that they are being a little overzealous in trying to kill me? I am wearing their armor, does that have anything to do with it? Please help as they are really getting to be a pain in the ***. Also, they seem to be a little more powerful than usual, my character is level 38 and has a 100 rating in long blade, light armor, and medium armor, and wields a steel dai-katana enchanted with 36 points of fire damage, but it still takes 9-12 hits to kill them and I barely escape with my life.

Have you talked to a town guard about it? if so try going to mournhold, talking to one of their guards about it and then returning to morrowind, I did that and they stoped attacking me.

I didn't even know that the number DBH attacks should be limited. They attacked me 15+ times (counting the # of their cuirasses, not counting their successful attempts ) and their attacks only stopped as I talked with a royal guard and killed the DBH leader (don't know whether simply talking to the guard is enough to stop them).

Thanks for the info, I'll go to Mournhold and talk to a guard, if that doesn't work, I'll just have to assasinate their leader. Hope that doesn't screw up the main plot.

Of course not. You have to kill the leader for the main Tribunal quest.

Actually, it's not necessary. I completed the main Tribunal quest before without having to kill the Dark Brotherhood leader. Also I think either going to Mournhold or talking to a guard will stop the attacks.

To stop the attacks, all you must do is talk to a guard in Mournhold about the Dark Brotherhood, or perhaps enter the command that I posted YESTERDAY...

Somthing I don't think was addressed was that at level 38 your going be attacked by the most powerfull assassins they send at you, there's five ranks and depending on your characters level you get a match. Also I believe the attacks will go on forever untill you do somthing about it, it's to urge you a little to find out about the tribunal expansion, and in my opinion masterfully done. But by now your problem is solved anyway, just thought I would show off how smart I am.
