tomyoung1 Posted February 13, 2016 Share Posted February 13, 2016 HI, I've been using NMM for a while starting with F3 and New Vegas but only since F4 have I had to deal with steam auto updates and its negative effects on my game saves ... Second time this has happened now, first was due to the beta patch and most likely my lack of modding prowess so I reinstalled the game withought the beta and reinstalled all mods.All good once again (tho still spending copper on wire...) Now Steam has auto updated and when I try to load a modded save the graphics are all sketchy and melding into eachother ... please tell me a way in which i can fix this withought having to start again or reinstall everything with my s#*! wifi (IT TAKES ME DAYZZZZZ !!!!!!) Hutspot01 Posted February 14, 2016 Share Posted February 14, 2016 In the future, it may be wise to prevent Steam from doing auto-updates. Do either of the folowing, or both:- Use Steam in off-line mode- In Steam's settings -> downloads, limit the time window in which Steam is allowed to do automatic updates to when the PC is normally off. tomyoung1 Posted February 19, 2016 Author Share Posted February 19, 2016 Thank you LucidAPs and Hutspot01 ... Cleared all Nexus files, Reinstall complete and files validated ... I still cant start a new game !! I get to the character creation screen and the graphics are still sketchy and messed up even though its a clean, mod free install. Is this due to the update ?
