Hey guys. I was looking for info on how to get the models from the game into some 3D software like Blender or 3DSMax. I'd also like to make an arachnophobia mod that replaces the endregas and such (since i've heard people having trouble with that).

So far i've only managed to edit the textures with the help of this page: http://www.gog.com/e...zip_for_modders

Any ideas?

Thank you people.

The meshes, skeletons, etc are currently stored in 2wstrings that haven't been "cracked" yet as far as I know. Rick at XeNTaX forums is working on getting those open.

Alright, then how about just swapping two models?

Thank you.

Problem is, we still don't know what's stored where, so even assuming a simple swap would do (and I'm not sure all models are rigged the same way), you'd still need to do in blind.

Oh well, it's just a matter of waiting then.

One more: what about changing what spawns and where?

Heyo everyone,

Check out the link here if you want a plugin for blender for importing/exporting w2ent files:

http://forum.xentax....php?f=16&t=6660

In order to get the file you have to register on those boards, well enjoy and happy modding :D

Heyo,

Well some bad news on the plugin, turns out it doesn't export. Though I'm sure the author will figure out how to do this, seeing as he was able to construct an importer. So i'm guessing that perhaps we will need another conversion tool if the author isn't able to construct an exporter.
