@Visualise, yeah that's almost ready to use as a quest script as it is.
The scripts have to save as quest scripts first. There's a dropdown box at the top of the script editor for that.
Creating a quest for this is simple, you can ignore all of the additional tabs. All checkboxes etc. are on the first page.

@deu58
They're described here http://fose.silverlo...ormatSpecifiers
You need one specifier for each of the variables.

Ahhhh ok thanks for that. There is a lot about NVSE functions I do not know or really understand yet.

Ditto, and there's a lot of the vanilla functions I don't understand yet :)

Looks like it is all working now. I created a new quest, checked the 'Start Game Enabled' and set the 'Script Processing Delay' to 0.0001 (it was not saving just straight 0). Now the player's position is automatically printed. Thanks for your help tunaisafish.

Hmm interesting, can you read data back from the file as well?
If so you could possibly try and use it as the basis for a 2nd player for PvP as it would get crazy trying to track NPC's I suppose for Co-Op.

@vis, your welcome mate :)

@ozzie,
no, there's no reading back.
Hmm... I wouldn't like to try that myself. I might give Fallout online a try when it comes out :)

There's a post-apocolyptic RP at The Wastelands.
Havn't been into SL for ages. I never did get to visit the wastelands but some of the the pics look great.

Yeah been to Wastelands a while a go it looked pretty good back then, SL has come a fair way in the last 2 years, it is getting meshes in the next few months so we could be seeing decent looking avatars there soon, I'm half considering getting back into SL, I've still got 1/4 of a sim there with tennants paying for it. Maybe once I get bored of NV mods, though Duke Nukem Forever is on my shopping list now :)

Been in SL a long time and I'm still there, mostly as a freelance scripter, sculpty maker, builder... the usual stuff hehe. Haven't been to The Wastelands... I'll go check it out.
