I thought it was kinda sad that there have been no female elven companion for DAO. I know that Awakening is different, but I thought it would be a nice addition to the game to have, especially considering how well it was done in DA2. I foresee potential problems, however. As there is no romance scenes for a female elven companion, new ones would have to be made, or other character romance scenes used instead (e.g. Alistair + fem elf warden, just replacing alistair with the warden and the elf with the companion.)
I know it would be hard to pull off. I feel sort of bad posting this in the 'requests' section, because it's not really a request, just an idea.

Thanks. I had a look at the mod and from what I gathered, it's quite sexual and apparently has a 'robot' voice. I think I'll wait until the voice gets fixed or wait for this Amaara Companion Mod.

tho your cutscenes would still be off, because of the height.
And if you already have them in your game, you'd have to do the runscript change appearance thru the console in order for their body's to change. I posted about that here, in this thread for a guy who was wanting to change their gender, But the same thing would apply for their race.

And if you didnt like the face morph provided by those mods you could either use a different elven face and rename it to the one included in the mod, or create your own in the character creator and use the face replacer. http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=428

Whoa, I missed a lot of mods. (Guess I should search in the description box too)

Sadly, these mods would overwrite Dragon Age Redesigned, and that is a pretty good mod. Thanks anyway.

Yeah, I know what you mean about missing some mods. I unfortunately have not been keeping up with the more recent mods since I stopped playing DA.

VERY interesting that you should happen to mention Redesigned JUST as I was in the process of writing Dracomies back, to thank him for some input that he gave me to try to help another guy out with a different problem! Talk about timing and coincidences!

I'd been using a mod called Party Recruiting, to add new members to my party. And changed some of those with gender and race. However, that mod has no romance options, and IS NOT COMPATIBLE with the other party mods.
Tell ya what, I'll check around after I get a nap and see if I can find any mods that add female romancable members to the party. If none of them have an elf, I'll see what I can do.

I can't find the link now, but wasn't there an elf female companion mod available on the bioware forums? I havn't tried it yet, but from the description it seemed like her personality was quite similar to merril's in DA2. D*rn it, I viewed that mod just about 2 days ago...

karma's companions http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=1617 looks like it might be your best option.
I'd recommend play testing it a bit to make sure that you're ok with it, and to figure out which of the femmes you'd prefer to have "elvenized" as well as hunt around for a femme elf morph that you like.
After that I can easily convert the character to an elf and assign it to use that particular morph.

Edit- After that you'd just drop the changed files into your override folder and it should work.

Tho I'll probably send the files to you via PM, since this is another mod author's work. And I don't want to publicly distribute alterations of her mod w/out her permission.

Ok, I'll have a go at that mod and see what it's like.

@amycus, I am pretty sure that it was the mod I stated before, but it hasn't been released yet.

EDIT: Karma's mod didn't work for me. It doesn't install with DAO Modmanager because it makes the program non respondant. Too bad.

Interesting! DAMM crashed on me too when I tried to install it with that.
DAM http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=286 however installed it just fine. Tho I haven't tested it. My comp has gotten to where it just doesn't like to run the game anymore. And because it will conflict with Party Recruiting that I already have installed.
