[Astor1977]

I'm getting crashes more frequently, so trying to tinker with my load order. I have a lot of mods that BOSS doesn't recognize, so I'm asking for help with a load order review.

Try it without any companions. I think Willow is okay though because she was updated since the new GECK (patch 1.3). I traced my continually worsening crash/hang problems to my companions. It seems companions made before the AI changes in especially the 1.4 patch are causing no end to problems. I do hope the various authors re-mod them all with the new GECK because I hated saying goodbye to old friends.

Oh, and you'll probably have to delete all your old saves because they're corrupted now and start the game over clean. That's the only thing that's got my game working again. For now at least!

Would hate to lose NCCS companions, but I do need to stop crashing all the time. Thanks for the advice.

Why not use Boss?

I do use BOSS, but it doesn't recognize many of my mods, so it likes to put bashed patch and such up in middle of load order, so I still have to manually sort many of my mods.

Im a retard for not seeing you mention BOSS in your original post lol. Did you try out FNVEdit to look for conflicts?

I have FNVEdit, but I honestly don't know what the hell i'm doing with it. I looked at tutorial, checked for conflicts, but it's all gibberish to me.

Anyways, I was going over your mod list cause a few caught my eye that I wanted to try.

I already knew EVE was around but I decided why not give it a go again. I just tried it over the past hour or so. It was causing me constant crashes. Even with no real conflicts in it from FNVEdit. It was sorted by BOSS which had a conflict (with the no degrade mod) so I moved it. Still crashed. I pulled out EVE. Crashes gone.

So you might want to try pulling eve out for now.

I have also heard a lot of mods are causing crashes after the 1.4 update because of the changes made and that a lot of those mods need to be updated with the new geck tool. =\

Yup, that's the guide i'm using. It has a different name, but the text and pics are the same. Thanks for the heads up on Eve. I like that mod, but if I can avoid crashes without it, I'll remove it.

Yea, I used EVE in FO3 and loved it. And the creator is hillarious. I particularly had not grabbed it for NV lately cause I noticed it mods some art I dont want changed. This time though I said to hell with it to try it. I guess that was a mistake lol.
