Am I the only one who has noticed that Bethany and Carver don't have specializations? I know they are only really temporary companions (just Act I really) but they still have that "underdeveloped" feeling without their own specializations. I read somewhere that Carver was suppose to get a Templar Specialization when/if he rejoins your party in Act III, but I went back and checked a previous game (in which he joined the Templars) and I can confirmed that he does not on the PC. And even if he did I'd still rather he'd have acess to it sooner. Roleplaying-wise I can see how it makes sense he wouldn't have access to those skills until he was trained by the Templars - but then a Warrior Class Hawke can use Templar Skills without joining the Order. So why not Carver and Bethany?
Is there a mod out there that gives Carver his Templar Specialization right from the start, like all the other companions (and Bethany is suppose to have the Force Mage Specialization, I believe) and if not, would someone be interested in making one? Please?

Thanks for the link, it'll at least give a temporary workaround. But it would be nice not to have to go through all that everytime I start a new game, so if anyone feels like making a mod to fix that, I'd appreciate it!

As sendo75 said, you don't need a mod. Patch 1.03 gives Bethany and Carver the Force Mage and Templar specializations respectively.

I was given to understand that the patch only added their specializations after they joined the Templar Order/Circle of Magi. So in other words, only in the last half of the Final Battle in Act III. Are you saying that they have their specialization right from the very begining? During the escape from Lothering in the prologue and on through Act I?
I'm not trying to be anal, I just want to be clear.

Yes the patch gives the specializations after they join the Circle/Templar, which will be consistent lore-wise.- If Bethany or Carver rejoin the party near the end of the game, they now learn the Force Mage and Templar specializations, respectively. Existing save games from after the Deep Roads Expedition will not receive the benefit of this fix.
