ElricOfGrans: The kind of severity of consequence you want is actually something I specifically decided against when designing the Bathing Mod. The heroic (or anti-heroic, or whatever) protagonist being stumbled and turned aside in their business because they forgot to take a bath? That didn't seem particularly immersive/believable/fun/etc to me. So the mod features mild penalties - or mild bonuses, depending on configuration. Enough to (for example) have a mild impact on prices when bartering, but not enough to dramatically cripple/buff the player in any way.

That said, there is obviously more to the mod than "one extra click per game-day", as you put it; a glance at the readme should demonstrate or be a reminder of that.

In any case, I think the moral of the story here is that you can't please everyone. ;)

mhahn123: Thanks. :)

Perhaps add some voice files:

As you walk down the street a high society npc might say, oh dear (maybe some animations of covering their mouth/nose). Depending on the npc's disposition to you, their confidence or what ever, they would come out and say something in a certain way. Low disp = flat out rude get a bath comment...and don't come back til you do!

I think area would make a difference too. Make it so that there are degrees of dirtiness. A romp through the underground IC would certainly increase your dirtiness and lower the time you have til you needed a bath. Drop into the water in the underground and instantly you will need a bath no matter what!

Yo, Antistar, I'm here to let you know the usage of your Copper Bathtub in the alternative decoration for My Bruma House I realesed.

I made it in a way that you can disable the bathtub to put one of yours instead if the player uses the Placeable Bathtubs. If the player don't like your mod, the bathtub in the esp restores healthy, fatigue and magicka (but thinking now, maybe it should only restores fatigue, restoring health and magicka is too much overpower....). I chose this to avoid and an extra patch for your mod and for a bloody mess.

Anyway, everytime I use a resource I add a comment on the original page to let the modder know that it's been used. If you don't want the mesh there, please, let me know. Probably, in any future house mods I may upload, I'll point to your mod. I'm also thinking to add aomething similar to my mod that improve the inns, but I want to learn how to use blender to have freedom to create my stuff.

Ah, before finishing this comment, anyone knows any good animation that can be used to pretend that my character is inside the bathtub? I really like what you did here, the idea to it beeing just a reminder is perfect for my gameplay (I hate hungry/thirsty/sleep mods because they pratically kill my character if he doesn't pretend to live... ¬¬). This mod already have my endorse, thank you!

I love this mod and other immersion type stuff. I have a weird problem though. The 'sense of smell' spell/ability has disappeared on my current character and therefore the need to bathe. It still exists on older characters and new characters. Is there a console command to maybe add it to me again?

jefthereaper: No, you should only use one of those files. From a technical point of view, the compatibility patch for Bloody Mess sets a variable in Bloody Mess (the variable that defines the 'bloodied' level) to zero - or one, I can't remember - when you take a bath. That's all it does, so it's up to Bloody Mess itself to do the rest, and it didn't always do it right away, I noticed.

I think this is a really nice mod. I like the additional bath tubs a lot.

I have one one problem: In the penalty version, whenever a day passes the message that says I gained the debuff does not disappear. During this time any spells or scripted spells I cast have no effect other than the casting animation and casting light. The only ways stop is to save and reload Oblivion or to bathe, but only until I gain another stack of the deuff. Is there anything I can do to prevent this permanently?

EDIT: Nevermind. I found out what I did wrong.

KusaLord: Sorry, only saw your post just now (I don't know what's been going on with the comments system on Nexus lately). On the off chance you return and see this; what was it that you found was causing it? I have had a similar report before, but I've never been able to reproduce it on my end.

I tried this mod. By itself, it's a pretty original idea and a nice mod anyway. My only small complaint, is that it kinda feels a bit barebones in some parts.

I have experience with the Construction Set, so I know how much time something like that can take ( you have to add at least one line of dialogue for a good part of NPCs or factions ), but it would be nice to see someone making an Addon ( the original mod will remain intact and required ) to this mod that makes some NPCs react differently if you didn't bath for days.

Like making a "GREETING" message with the Goodbye option checked that shows in case...: (example)
GetGlobalValue "DaysWithoutBathing" > 2
GetPCFame < 9
GetStage ( quest ) "QuestOfTheDude" < 1
GetIsID: "UpperClassSnobbyDude" or GetInFaction: "UpperClassSnobbyDudes"
Message: "By the Nines, you smell worse than a pile of decomposing rat corpses!"
Emotion: "Disgust 100"
ModDisposition player -1

By adding GetPCFame and GetStage between the conditions, it also resolve the problem with "heroic" characters.

Anyway, it's just an idea. Still, the mod needs some more details IMHO, but it has a good roleplay value. Pretty original also.

brb, going to take a bath.
