Another 'clue' - I started the game using FOMM/NVSE with the load order below. This is the same way I started the game when I was unable to load any save games, but I *was* able to create a new game, but one which appeared to lack any mods. So, after starting up again, this time I un-checked all the mods you see below in that list, then I started a save-game from the new game I had created. Normally when you start a save game after removing a mod, you get a message about that save game using material from a mod that is no longer present, and that this may affect gameplay, etc. However, despite removing 100+ mods (everything except the four DLCs), I did not get that message. So, this tells me that NONE of mods are loading other than the DLCs - the Asuka paper-doll and the UI changes that remain must be simple texture replacements. So, somehow, downloading and installing LR cut me off from all of my mods.

I have also tried Verify Game Cache again (more than once): Usually it tells me that 1 file failed to properly download, although several times it has told me that everything is fine and all files are good.

I am sorry to take up so much time on the board, but I don't really know where else to turn. Thanks folks.

Total active plugins: 123

oO
Do you really need all those plugins? If I had that many, FNV wouldn't even launch. You certainly don't need the perk every level mod anymore, since PN can do the same thing.
But maybe you're crashing 'cause your esms should all be before your esps and not mixed up with them?

edit: as for the message not showing up, I had the same thing once, but oddly enough, closing and reopening FOMM helped.

That load order worked perfectly prior to this morning's attempt to install LR. I've been using that load order, with minor tweaks here and there, for months. There are a handful of esp files among the esm files (20th Century Weapons and the injection mod) but that is because while they are labeled as esp files, FOMM identifies them as esm files. And regardless, the load order worked previously.

I don't think its load-order related - all evidence seems to indicate that the game is not recognizing the presence of ANY mods, regardless of order, other than the 4 DLCs. It doesn't seem to know they are there - any one have any idea what might cause that?

Make a merged patch and see what happens maybe?

Also, check LR in FNVEdit to see if you can find which mods contain conflicts

What I'm wondering is why I downloaded it and Steam stopped working and said this account has never been used on the computer. Do I have to reinstall it. Can't play NV without Steam. Wow just uninstalled Steam and everything is gone. Oh well looks like I have to play this another time. Got college work to do.

I have tried with and without a merge patch, and it did not appear to make any difference. I opened FNVEdit, and there does not appear to be any conflict between Lonesome Road and any other mod. I also checked binvalidateOlderFiles and it is set at "1". So, I remain stumped. My game simply does not recognize any mods at all at this point, other than the four DLCs. Anyway, as before, any help would be much appreciated. Thanks folks.

OK, I have read a lot of forum posts, and people appear to have had similar issues with prior DLCs that were solved by using the Verify Game Cache. I tried that again, and it said "3 files failed to load properly and will be reacquired" ... but then nothing else happens. If I wait, that pop-up box just sits there. If I close it, nothing else happens - what is supposed to happen after you Verify Game Cache, and it determines files need to be reacquired? Are you supposed to close that pop-up box to begin the re-acquisition? Does it happen only if that pop-up box is still up? I get the message that the files will be reacquired, but nothing seems to happen after that.

Does anyone have anything to contribute re: the dlc itself? Is it any good. Worth buying? Thanks.

@ JDegenerate, for me this has been the best dlc as far as the storyline and environment. Bought it as soon as it came out and just finished it, completely worth it imo. I did not find any bugs, have any ctd,s or other issues at all. Loaded up my previous save with mods and launched with fomm worked flawlessly.
