Same issue here - clean install, no mods or fixes and no voice when Rory's speaking (I can hear the dog barking though if that helps), also tried playing with & without original SG mod, forcing the sound into stereo for headphones (just in case that was the issue); along with talking with him a couple of times both with and without other people in the party all with no luck, can't get him to speak aloud or join the party.

Let me know if you want the save file this is happening in.

Not sure if it's worth checking the original VO files to make sure they're in the right format, know the .wavs usually used for VO are saved mono so there's a possibility of something going screwy there?

Best of luck tracking down the problem and thank you for putting together such an extensive add on for the game :)

Furtled: what do you call "same issue" ? Because you are talking about vo files, but I've said already that this mod is not voiced yet.

I just wanted to say that the Ser Gilmore mods are my most favorite in the game. I'm super excited about Rory's new voice, too! I hate to bother you about it, but I was just wondering how far you were along with getting the voice into the game?

It wouldn't be a problem, but when Roland talks, about 80% of the time there are no subtitles, so I'm not able to properly interact with him, since I don't know what he's actually saying.. Though I've been able to guess pretty well so far.

Furtled, well, as I said before, I don't think it's a bug of the mod, but the fact that you are not playing on clean installs as you have stated. When I loaded those savegames I got the warning that a bunch of crap was installed intead, and once loaded in my computer (which is in fact a clean install), everything worked fine... at this point I the only theory I have to fall back to is that this is a case of user error, not a bug in the mod...

But hey, send the savegame over, I will try it in my computer too, there's still the very slim possibility that there might be something :-)

YakkitySax: Thank you so much for the comments, I hope you enjoy the mod! :-) Just to confirm this to you, Ser Gilmore is 100% subtitled. Did you make sure that subtitles are on in your game settings?

Yes, I have the subtitles on. It's weird because sometimes the subtitles show up and other times they don't. What I might do is try the mod out on a completely fresh game and see what happens then. It could just be my computer, since the game does tend to lag a bit when I play. I didn't have this problem in Origins, which is why I was curious.

If the subtitles work, then I'm guessing it would be one of the mods I'm running. If that's the case I'll just start adding them one by one and see which one breaks it. :P Thanks!

(If I figure out what's wrong I'll be sure to update you on if it was the mod itself or just a problem on my end.)

EDIT: I changed a few of my settings and it turns out the dialogue was just lagging really badly. All fixed now!

Then I had another problem, sadly.

I've uninstalled all mods, reinstalled DAO and DAO-A, then reinstalled the mod but Roland still won't join my party. I'm afraid my save might be corrupted. Unfortunately I forgot to save my original Origins save, so I won't be able to start completely over in Awakening with the fresh install.

Maybe with a future release I'll be able to get Roland working properly. Thanks so much for still working on this mod and putting so much hard work into it.

EDIT: Okies, cleaned it out, ran CC, rebooted and re-installed with this as the only mod installed/enabled and sadly that doesn't seem to have fixed it. Save file is here if you want to have a look: http://www.mediafire...m2al2gqljtjarz4

Version with original SG mod also enabled here: http://www.mediafire...xur1cr2qra5961m

To confirm, the char can talk to him but can't recruit him.

Thanks again for all the hard work :)

Immortality, thanks for all the hard work with the Sir Gilmore NPC (and now the dog too, woot!). I was about to start a new playthrough, but I might wait the VA version. Still, just wanted to thank you for making the game even better!
