Nevermind, i solved it. For all those having troubles getting any alternative textures to work; remember to copy them into the "override" folder from "My Documents" (MyDocuments/BioWare/DragonAge/Packages/Core/Override).

Man, extract the texture files into the "override" folder from your "My Documents", not the other one.
