Lack of knowledge. Just because they're the biggest problems doesn't mean they're the hardest to fix, I'm afraid. By "Object script", I just meant open up a new script (Gameplay, Edit Scripts, File, new) and there's a drop-down bar with options for Object, Quest, and Magic Effect.
SCN is short for scriptname. When I said put it in, I literally meant typing it on the first line...

But couldn't it be possible to make the script; collision with the gate would send player to destination or something.

well i say we have gotten a little off-track.
what is done?
not sure. i remember triforce saying the city is done, the gate is placed, some npcs were placed? as far as what is actually done i am uncertain of.
what needs to be done?
quests, npc dialog and quest related scripting.
the mechanics of the dragons.
testing, refining, bug-fixing, spelling and grammar checking.
what i think also needs to be done is to define exactly what what this mod is going to contain. i'm sure theres a lot of that scattered around but a clear picture for where we are at this point would help
as said a bunch we need scriptors.
what cannot be done?
we have to consider exactly what can or cannot be done in the engine itself or in designing the mod. things like messing with the main quest isn't something that can be done realistically.
anyhow just more ideas, and i'm no scripter. i can barely get the editor to load.

Indica, you are the true voice of reason. I'll do like I have done in the past an go over everything you have said.
1)City is still being built. Exterior of the inside is don, but no house interiors yet. No exterior city yet.
2)Gate is non-existent.
3)NPCs are also non-existent.
4)Everything you were wondering if it still needed to be done? They do.
5)No messing with the main quest. (Until later

6)I will post a total outline of the main quest this weekend, I promise. I will also do more work on the city.

Is this thread still going? Come on this is a great idea and i would hate to see it fall.
One idea to stop the gate issue is to make bandits attack the city (in number). The leader breaks his way in on evil dragons and, crap now your're fighting a dragon.
I think that would remove the gate issue, but heck just ideas

Indeed this thread is still going, I have just been unable to reach my computer recently. Great to be back. However, I have a "quick question" for you, friend. Have you been paying any attention to what I've told you in the past? No evil dragons...no fighting dragons(that might be a new one)...and you're gonna get there by flying. The Daedra come in via ships, because the gate opens from the lake onto a fiery sea of lava. Any questions now?

What do you fly on. And don't just say "a dragon, duh". what dragon?
And just to specify the gate will lead you onto nother bed of water right? like the daedra sailed through instead of pushed through.
Have you figured out the gate problem.
What if on the dragon you caould swim? That way you approach the gate in the water and activate it like a normal gate.

Dude you are finally catching on. But you must admit, it would be cooler to fly through than swim through. Some of the guys are giving tips on the gate, too. Now, somewhere back through these posts is a description of your dragon and some fuzzies about how you will get it. Is should be one-two pages back at most...though perhaps more, I haven't looked recently. Either way, it will be your own personal dragon. Check it out, everyone else seems to have lost interest...shame. But as I've said before, I AM UNDETERRED!!
