Ok so I dove right in to the main quest line and right after I kill the first dragon I get summon by the grey beards so I run alll the way up and to high horagth but near the very top there was a frost troll and he is a beast killed me so many time I finally just had to FUS him then sprint away .

Any one else get a troll there.

Now that ihave the whole FUS do rah and the whirlwind sprint and the flame (thol) and the ethereal shout I went back and he still almost killed me and all I got was some stupid trollfat and I ate it

Oh yeah.
My fight went like this: Blasted him with lightning, he did barely get a scratch, flamed him a bit which did minuscule more damage than lightning, lydia was defeated, my magicka was depleted and at this point the trolls healthbar was more than half full so I started running back and nibbling at his health with a sword and a flameblast now and then. Finally I ran into that praying NPC which did most of the troll killing for me.

Yeah I'm staying away from magic except restoration so his health regen was to much yeah Lydia or w/e her names is what submit like 3 times during each encounter

Oh yes the Frost-Trolls are very hard, i hope that the are not leveled and getting harder and harder! For a quest i had to go through a place with more of them, there i could killed my first one, but only because imperial soldiers came the way. While he slaughtered them all i could shoot him with the bow. For the other trolls i runed away then^^

i just ran pass him and let my companion died in the process lol

there is a book somewhere in skyrim about trolls and it says that they are very vurnable to fire
so use a fire spell in both hands

I died... A lot (even had that praying NPC yield so the Troll came after me and I died). Got angry and used the console to kill him... They don't seem to be leveled, though (at least not at that strength) as I can kill them relatively easily now (though they still pack a punch).

Well.....you got trolled~*wink, but who am I joking, we all get trolled by that troll on the way to meet with those greybeard~

Trolls are easy enough once you learn the first part of your shout just keep stunning him with it and mix it up with some spells and arrows then finish him with the sword. Keep a lot of potions though cause he will hurt a bit.
