So I just got Skyrim yesterday. I installed it and got a Steam account for it, but whenever I try to start the actual game, I get this error popping up every time that says:

This game is currently unavailable.
Please try again at another time.

Can someone figure out what the problem is? This is my first time playing a game where I had to have a Steam account for, so I don't know much about it at the moment.

I had the same problem as you're describing... Tried everything from the support site and read every site that a google search gave... I was pretty close to giving up until I took a look at my antivirus program (NOD32) and saw that files related to Skyrim was logged in the quarantine. I turned off NOD32 and then Skyrim worked!

So what antivirus program are you using?

I used AVG.

And turning off AVG or adding Steam/Skyrim to the list of excluded programs don't work?

Otherwise, read and do the steps here:

The above thing didn't work for me though, as it was the antivirus program.
