I completed the Bleak Falls Barrow Quest and got the option to buy a house from Proventus Avenicci or whatever his name is.
So bought the house, but no conversation option appears to buy furnishings. I have looked at the book and everything, and I have gone off questing and then come back to him, still no conversation topic.
Anyone else had this and how to fix it?

For me the furnishing option appeared after i've been inside the house. Then i came back to Proventus and the options were there...

I had to load one of previous saves, there were no buying options even after visiting the house.

You'll want to talk to Proventus Avenicci "during normal business hours." Not exactly sure what that means, but I noticed when I found him in his bedroom late at night the options were missing, but when I found him standing next to the throne the options were present.

had no problems with that, but read somewhere from this bug and that it maybe help to read the book whitch he gave to you

Ah, now THAT is worth thinking about, but he never seems to be standing by the throne, he's out in the courtyard.

• Sleep till 8AM.
• Go stand near the throne.
• Press the T key and wait 1 hour.
• Check if he is present near the throne or eating at the table. If not repeat step 3 until he is present

He normally shows up between 11am to noon to have food. Sometimes though he does not show up till later around 3 to 5ish.

Bit unpunctual for a steward then, I'd fire him if I were the Jarl, hehe!
