I was about to write a comment and then noticed itchywolf said everything exactly as I was about to, so yeah... what he said, lol.

I was having a lot of issues with crashes when using the manager, and general CTD's while playing Skyrim. What fixed it for me is going through and disabling the mods one at a time until I found the one causing the issue, and disabling Check for updates on startup, Check for new Mod versions, and Add missing info to mods. After this I have not crashed once; however I'm currently unable to download any new mods using the download with manager buttons. :|

latest version 12.10 whatever is even worse then last - i cant seem to uninstall any mod - so basically im fooked because i deleted some mods manually and now its telling me i need to add them back, if i dont i keep getting flagged and it throws errors if i try to install the updated version of the manually deleted mod...sheesh. Game is unplayable now

Agreed, the NMM is certainly not flawless, but... I have found it to work very well compared to my original thoughts on "hand-installing" all the mods I added.
That said, I haven't added ANY additional mods since I got the latest 0.12.10 update.
THAT said... everyone should keep in mind--the more mods you add... the easier it is for them to conflict.
Additionally... yesterday (PRIOR TO THE 0.12.10 UPDATE), I was suddenly getting a literal throng of CTD w/ no errors. This was after simply being "satisfied" with the current mods I had installed (~40 of them), and I'd been playing pretty consistently.
What I ended up needed to do is use the idiotic Steam setup to re-verify/re-download the "cache files" or whatever. The re-update/whatever caused me to have to re-calibrate the video settings. My machine always goes for "High", but it handles Ultra with almost no framerate loss, as the video is Radeon HD 6950 2GB + a quad-core CPU.
CTDs still occurred, but were far more rare. Messing with the stupid shadows (yes, they are STILL BLOCKY, arrrrggg)... seemed to help even more.
Now before ALL of that... there were times when I couldn't start the game. Guess what I did? Remove mods one by one (or ALL of them)... or re-install Skyrim main files and plug the mods back IN, one by one. Seemed to work well.
I'm not trying to invalidate other people's experiences, but... really... it's Thanksgiving time here in the U.S. Give the NMM guys a break.

well heres my input, first thing the archive invalidation will always remain on no matter how many times you try to toggle it off. secondly the "use download manager" does not work dont even try to pretend it does it will start at zero and it will remain zero for the duration of my lifespan and im only 21. not to mention the fact that if you try and do ANYTHING AT ALL EVER u get a massive error message that says omg "something bad happened" as far as a beta goes this gets a 2 out 10 rating as far as i can see. however i have faith in the nexus and its ability to fix any kind of software issues ive seen so far i would like to see this in full sprint and health soon. but yea dont download or use if you dont want a huge freaking rage breeding headache.

Basically I'm having the same problems everyone else is having, I can't uninstall anything without it blowing up in my face. And those are the things I need to uninstall to update, so I hope they can get this thing fixed, because it's too buggy, even more than the old FOMM, which for now I'm gonna see if I can't go back to it.
Edit: Ok I figured out how you can deactivate mods without it crashing, this is just a temporary fix and I don't know if it'll work for everyone, but it's working for me so far. You have to downgrade to version 0.12.7 from here http://www.thenexusf...ase-notes-0120/ just click on the spoilers button.

If I already have OBMM installed with like 200 mods on my Oblivion game.
Will uninstalling OBMM and installing Nexus MM make my load order messed up? I would like to know if NMM will still retain the original order of mods in my Oblivion.

There are a few things i can't get into my head right...
First of all - it just cannot be that there are like 5 or 6 so called "managers" on the nexus and no one of them is able to handle mods like FOMM was intended to do. But even with the fixes provided from dlundell it was buggy as hell, though it enabled me to actually manage my mods in a way i could stand. I was eagerly waiting for the NMM, but was also disappointed at the same time i got it.
There is nearly no funtionality provided with the NMM. No esm's in bold, no BOSS implementation like in FOMM (and here i have to say that i loooooved the auto-sort function), no proper enabling/disabling, long load times and so on...
Some folks stated all those points before and they did a good job.
New Vegas is on halt until one manager is working at last. Skyrim runs smooth, but is virginal to mods.
Please guys... get that program running!

My downloads go much slower when I am downloading them through the NMM. Anyone else have this issue? I verified this by downloading 1 file manually, and it was finished in about 7 seconds. I tried downloading the same file again except through NMM and it took almost a minute(would be almost 2min if you include how long it took to initialize). How can I can confirm in NMM that I am logged in with my preminum account? and its not downloading as a guest? (thats my theory to way it is downloading slow)

I don't want to be too harsh here. I know this is a Beta product, and I hope that the developers get all of the problems worked out. I just want to know: Can I *safely* uninstall NMM and get FOMM reinstalled and running? Apologies if this is already published somewhere; I can't find it, and a simple URL or other pointer to the answer will be appreciated. Back to my question: Does a simple uninstall of NMM leave things in a mangled state that will cause problems with FOMM? Or even without FOMM? I'm afraid to move forward *or* backward at this point...
Any advice or reassurances or warnings will be appreciated.
