Im looking to understand Max Frames to Render Ahead in order to lower my gpu's stress, I live in a hot country and summer is coming, and every week my GPU is getting hotter and hotter, and last night on skyrim I started hitting the 90's.
What I would like to know is, does Max Frames to Render Ahead = 0 mean that the card is allowed to render infinite frames ahead? Or does it mean that the card cant render any frames ahead? Eg, only the current frame.
I would assume that if it's the former, GPU stress would be maximised, If its the latter, it would be Minimised.
Currently the best way for me to lower my gpu's heat is to enable Vsync, In simple indoor environments with Vsync off, my FPS can shoot up over the 100's, and in turn the temp rises. With vsync on this is minimised.
Thanks in advance.
