I can understand why quite a handful of people are upset about the CK delay. Bethesda did say that the CK would be released the same day Skyrim went on sale. As for this latest patch, I will wait on installing it... Hopefully I'll have a choice since some people did say that Steam will eventually update the game even if you turn off auto-update.

I can't even play. I get to the in game menu but it won't show the Continue, New, Load, Settings, Exit menu at all, just stuck at the logo. Come on Bethesda, hurry up and fix it as well as come out with the CK. I could be writing my U.S. History Paper right now, instead of complaining.

@ Lord Revan X

Disable the Vals Craft Meltdown .esp file, this mod is breaking the game in 1.2
If you still want to use it, you can download the No Arrow version in the mod's page, since that's the module causing the issue.

It took me ages to figure out the problem, then I found the comment page on that mode and pretty much everyone had this problem as well lol

Woah, with all the very bad things I'm hearing about this patch (dragons flying backwards, wth?), I definitely won't be downloading it.

I would rather they wait on the CK until it is absolutely the best they can possibly make it. But if they are sitting on it when its already ready, I despise them for it, and I will let them know my displeasure with my money, when it comes to their DLC. I suspect they might be sitting on it, but I can't prove it, but if they are it will be found out eventually.

Thanks overmaxxx, that seemed to work.

I am sorry for those of you having difficulties. I have had the game since release and have not suffered from the CTD or lag troubles others seem to be having. I have progressed quite a ways through now, I am a Nightingale as of 5 hours ago, killed enough dragons to get the achievement currently 52% on those. So I must wonder if this is an architectural thing in a lot of cases? Only mods I am running are a couple texture mods. I run on Ultra graphics settings. And after 8 hrs of play post patch not had a problem, not even a backward flying anything yet. Again I stress I only use texture changing mods at this point for the aesthetics which accounts for a lot of the post patch troubles I am thinking. As overmaxxx identified earlier.

I forgot to tell Steam not to automatically update the game, so I'm stuck with the patch now. Wow, I've never seen a patch break so many things. I was perfectly fine with the unpatched game, I never had any major issues. The patch has utterly destroyed the game. Texture issues, far more CTDs than there were before, and more. What the hell did Bethesda do to their own game?

There were some very minor issues before, but now it's worse than Oblivion WITH tons of mods! I don't even have that many Skyrim mods installed, and I've only done very minor INI tweaking.

Is their really no way for Steam users to go back to the previous version?

Meanwhile something like Fo3edit would be a good start for modding. Is there anything like it available?
