Wearable containers - backpacks, napsacks and satchels

I remember these from Fallout 3 and it increased my immersion - it allows the player to carry more items while giving them a rule of "why this is possible" (so we don't feel like we're cheating).

Some ideas would be:

Large Backpack - (like a serious mountaineer or backpacker would equip)

Medium Pack - (for short trips)

Napsack or Basket - (for storing food and alchol/potions)

Satchel - (for carrying alchemical ingredients!)

Of course you could store whatever you want in these containers, and each could have varying degrees of carryweight boosting.

What do you guys think?

I'm guessing it will have to wait until the CK comes out...

To be honest these kind of things should be used on any armor along with either 'thick clothes underneath (long sleeves and leggins)' or 'fur'

and the combat inventory should have certain slots for in-combat use of items... so that you cant take hits and take 99 potions...

but you have a few potions or elixirs for their longterm effects and a couple of injecter for instant rejuvenation...

putting small bags onto belts, holders (for injecter)...

things like these

They should be in sync with the style, material and coloration of the armor

For Herbalists to have their ingredients stay fresh for longer (if a true survival mod comes out, they will expire after some days); a bag to put them in like this guy

old style leather or fur backpack for items and a 'runic storage stone' for armors and weapons because nobody even with backpack can hold 10 armors

but we have magic so... (maybe even place restrictions upon it... like cooldown for extraction or recharging through manause per item stored like every minute a reduction of 1 mana (magicka) per item)

Above all else, I wanna see some belts. I mean, where does your weapon hang off of if not on a belt? Not just a waist belt, but a belt that goes over the shoulder as well, for your arrows and your two-handed weapons. Not to mention if you had belts, you could attach aforementioned satchels and backpacks to those.

Yes someone make a backpack mod don't put it on armor put it in amulet slot or ring slot or tale slot ok? Make it lore friendly to.

Best is probably to override the quiver slot, if not the quiver will crash with the backpack anyway.

Must change so you can select arrows but no quiver is visible on back then you use the backpack. the backpack can be taken on and off like other equipment.

Easier in Fallout as it had an backpack slot and no quivers. I guess this will require the script extender.

It won't matter whats a little clipping, I had a Backpack mod in Oblivion and the arrows looked good with the backpack and the TH sword to looked good. So I would leave it and let it clip.
