Because you can download them even if you are not logged in or a member for that matter. There you get no choices.

But a more detailed explanation, it does not have to be transferred from the main server to a secondary server, saving time and assets.

More efficient this way.

Same issues here, now getting message saying cannot download a file more than 50 times. BS. Maybe tried 50 times, never downloaded once.

This site is seriously broken.

None of these new bells and whistles have made the site better - they have broken it IMHO.

The site counts the start of a download, not the finish. 50 attempts = 50 downloads.

Now I can try to help if you, if you would like or you can go elsewhere. Your call.

Not every failed download is traceable back to the site. Anything that interrupts a download can cause a fail. I have had problems with certain programs that call home periodically causing interrupted downloads. Many IM or VOIP applications do this in the background. The NMM has a planned feature to resume those downloads that are interrupted and hopefully will eventually cut these way down.

Also, some download manager programs will continuously retry in the background, running up the download count.

I'll use this topic as my problem is similar. I'm using Safari and quite often, the popup server list comes up as just a white box. Nothing in it, just a white box. Only happens on SkyrimNexus.

Try running Firefox in safemode. Would not be surprised if it's something to do with your download manager/backround software. Thousands of others are downloading no problem right now.

Same issue, the issue isn't that a download fails it's that it never starts. The box pops up with the list of mirrors then promptly turns white and nothing further happens, it does look as if a second box has been rendered as there are 2 X to close buttons. As other people have pointed out this is likely something to do with automatically selecting a mirror as it happens consistantly on smaller files.

If I was at work, or being paid I'd open up Fiddler and Firebug and see what I can see. However, I'm not and Only Connect is on in a few minutes and PHP isn't my cup of tea, I'm all about the JSP environment, so if someone would like to help, that would be awesome.

Also, I've tried in several browsers with several configurations.

WORK AROUND > What I have found in my fiddling though is a reasonable work around, at least it works for me. Right click on the download link and select open in new window, give it a few ticks (somewhere around 30 seconds) and it seems to download.
