@Kazalor, You need to be connected to steam, the Skyrim4kb.exe doesn't do that for you the same way that launching Skyrim through the Mod Manager does.

My biggest issue was convincing my Shield Delux that Skyrim4kb.exe isn't harmful. What a pain in the ass that was. But... Happy days! Since then, I have not yet crashed!
