Post Your Rig

Recommended Posts

So I've been looking through the forums, and I'm surprised to not find a Post Your Specs/ Rig thread.

Post your specifications here, and discuss anything to do with your rig, like case modifications, or overclocking records, benchmarks. And if you named your rig, post that too

I will start off:

Anarchy

Chassis: Coolermaster HAF X

MB: Asus Rampage IV Extreme

CPU: Intel i7 3960x

GPU's: 2 x GTX590's for QUAD SLI.

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB

HD: Hitachi 2TB

PSU: Antec 1200w

Monitor: Asus 27"

Cooling: CPU Waterblock and two separate Waterblocks for both GPU's. Most components manufactured by XSPC, all except the pump.

thats because its listed on ppls profile. but ill bite

i dont currently have mine built as im sure many ppl on this forum know lol. so ill list what i plan on building when the time comes:

Case: Fractal Design Define R3

Mobo: ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3

CPU: i5-2500k

GPU: MSI Twin Frozr III 560 Ti 448 Core

RAM: 8GB DDR3 G.Skill Ripjaws X 1333MHz (x2)

PSU: Corsair AX650W 80 Plus Gold, Modular

HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1.5GB

SSD: Crucial M4 64GB

CD/DVD: Asus CD/DVD Player

Monitor: Asus 23" VS Series

NIC: Rosewill Wireless Adapter

Keyboard: Microsoft Sidewinder x4

Mouse: Logitech G500

Heatsink: Corsair H100

Blah: Blah

and thats it. when i eventually build this, hopefully by Spring or sooner, thats what its gunna be. and sometime later i might get a second GPU for SLI but thats even further down the road. but since its not build, i have no specs for it, and who knows, this could change. if Ivy Bridge comes out by then or a better deal pops up or what have you....i do already have that mouse though, and i really like it!...id also really like to get an SSD eventually. depending on the prices when i finally get it will determine the size. at least a 128GB, but who knows, maybe they will drop in price by next year, and ill be able to get a 256GB. thatd be sweet.

Hi,

i'm not sure i haven't post in another post, but you can have a look at my specs in my profile. It's not a overpowered rig, or something like high end, it's doing its job :)

CPU: Q9450 @ 3.6GHz (8x 450), aircooled with a good old Thermaltake Sonic Tower, in benchmarks you can compare it with an i7 920 (55°C)

Mobo: Asus Maximus 2 Formula

Ram: 6GB, 2x2GB Kingston HyperX 1066 + 2x1GB Kingston HyperX 900

Graphic: AMD HD 4870 512 @ 800MHz, cooled by the Accelero S1

HDD: 128 Corsair Force 3 SSD, 750 MB Hitachi 7200, 2TB Western Digital Green (5200/7200)

Display: 1080 to 1920

Keyboard: Cherry Master Solar

Mouse: Logitech Performance MX (the one with Dark Field)

Sound: the one from the Maximus, XFi 2.0 (7.1)

PSU: BeQuiet Dark Power 650W (cable management)

Tower: good old Chieftec ig Tower Tank ;)

and some usb Stuff, like a DVB-C stick and a Soundpraph remote control unit

The bottleneck is the graphic card, i need a new one maybe 6950 with 2GB VRam

The rig is really powerful, so i think i dont need to change it, The graphic is the problem, the 4870 is old and i can play Skyrim only in High settings :(

It's an acronym for Sentient Hyper-Optimized Data Access Network, of course.

Nice  Let's hope your rig's sentience doesn't verge on ambition, you may find your PC undermining your dominant position in the house-hold  I guess you could just disable its random-access-thought driver, then it shall know only to obey

Speaking hypothetically is fun when you're bored
