Hi guys, I have put in about 60 hours into my dual wield melee character and found from the start that i was often unintentionally initiating a second power attack after an intentional first. At first I thought it was my fault for being over eager and jamming down on the mouse, but after some testing I discovered something odd. No matter how quickly I click my two mouse buttons, if I initiate a dual wielded attack immediately after the animation for my initial power attack is complete (both weapons return to their initial position), it initiates a second power attack animation, which drains no stamina. Oddly, the character doesn't make the power attack shouts, and upon testing it I found that it doesn't do power attack damage, but its still the same animation and rapid strikes (1 left hand strike, 1 right hand strike, 1 both hand strike) and is also followed by an additional normal dual wield strike. I tried the same thing with my xbox 360 controller, and the same thing happens, no matter how many times i do it, no matter how lightly a click or pull the triggers, if I click RIGHT after the first is complete a second "power attack" initiates, draining no stamina. Its kind of annoying, as it wastes the charges in my weapons if the enemy only requires one more hit to die. On top of that, if I'm getting in free "power attacks" at no stamina cost, even if it doesn't do full damage, it makes me feel like I'm cheating. Anybody encountered this at all?
is my dual wielding power attacks broken?
