I've had a 'sort of dream'
What about a Mod, where only my beloved Dark Magician, his Outfit, Staff and The Millenium Puzzle exists. How about a Partner Mod?
He can be added somewhere in the Starting Area.
Also you can choose: Want him for Help in your Quest of Saving The World, or are you a bad Character who seeks for his Godlike Items?
You can have access to his inventory after you find his Staff hidden somewhere outside of Kirkwall. Maybe the Dalish know, where to find it?
The other Option: You are a Bad Person and want his awesome items NOW, than you just have to fight him. But be warned: He IS God himself!
But without his true Staff most of his Power will be missing.
He's the Keeper of an ancient Power, called Dark Magic that is so powerfull, that only he (The last of his Kind) remains to keep this Secret. But if you choose to let him live and want his everlasting loyality he will give you someday a special Object: The Mysterious Milleniums Puzzle with unbelievable Power. Also you get the Option to Romace him no matter if your Character is male or female, but only after he gets his Staff from you.
That means he has 99% Friendship to you but will only fall in love with you, after he gets his Staff and complete a little Quest, where you have to find a Sarcophagus and a special Room, where he will live, if he's not in your Company. All of that will fit perfect in the Hills outside of the Dalish- Camp.
Maybe a little Background Story would be nice, but thats all for today. Please, if you got something to say, than tell me everything, you think about my last Request.

Hi,

I think that this would be a serious breach of copyright law, not to mention a tremendous amount of work. The former reason is enough to classify this in the "impossible" category.

what a crock, whoe the hell cares if A MOD gives you items and characters from another series? its A FAN MADE MOD! copyright is only an issue if the copany releases it /tries to charge for it. fanmade mods are completely legit. hell ive seen more cross series mods than I can count. seriously bringing up copyright for something like this just makes you sound like a moron.

p.s. someone needs to make this mod, sounds awsome.

@AvalonsDarkShadow; You are so completely mistaken about what constitutes copyright infringment that it's not worth trying to explain it to you.

That said, one is free to create (from scratch) mods that mimic the look/feel/sound of resources in other games. But porting them directly and then posting them here on the Nexus will bring the Banhammer down on your account almost immediately.

(Side Note: Bethesda will not allow the use of any assets from any of their games into any of their others, while BioWare does allow the use of Dragon Age assets in mods for all of the games in that entire series. And GSC and CD-Projekt both allow unrestricted use of S.T.A.L.K.E.R and The Witcher materials respectively, in mods; including ones for games from other publishers.)

Exactly. I mean, it's okay if I added some new pieces of armor that made your character look like he was playing gandalf, but if I actually grabbed the actual textures from a LOTR game, and put them into skyrim, and then posted it as my own mod, then it would be copyright infringement. Copying is different than importing. :)

Thanks for your honest and direct words.

To the Others:
But also I still don't get it, with all that lore friendly, unfriendly thing :wallbash: :psyduck: :wallbash:
I mean, the person who created a mod is the owner not someone else. So it doesn't matter, if u import your mod from DAO into DA2 or a mod from Oblivion into Skyrim, it is the work of that person who created the mod so this person can do with his / her work, whatever he/she want. Right???
So I think that my request can be done, just don't use the same shape or colour. We got Robert's Male Body Replacer, so the Outfit would look different with every Varioant you've choosen and the Chlothes could get some different colours like deep Purple or red or Black or white. I saw so many Mods, that added items to the TES World, that looked like directly copied from a Manga or Anime so I'm a little bit pissed off, to hear within every single Request I've written, that is is not possible or that Lore thing. There's always a way to get what you want. You just have to be not lazy.

So, now I've spoken some direct words too.

No. That's not the case. While the person who created the mod is the owner of the mod, he is using copyrighted materials from someone else. Unless said person gets authorization from the owner of the copyright, they are guilty of copyright infringement. (Assuming my understanding is indeed accurate, which I think it is but someone can correct me if I'm wrong)

There are some cases where people try to get past it, usually for fan art and what not, by using the FAIR USE act, though I do not think this would apply in this situation (mods and modding).
