First I want to apoligize for my last comment, it was lunch time and I was having a bad day at work. I will turn off some of my mods that aren't important. Now that you mention conflicting mods. Could the Castle Dragulia mod cause a confliction? It uses Castle Skingrad it's base.

Hi Ionis,
I did a search on issues with the quest not starting, but I didn't find any cases where the problem wasn't resolved with time. I've now waited for several weeks in-game after completing the "retaking castle kvatch" quest, but no messenger has arrived. Is there a console command I can use to get him to show? I already tried SetStage KRMain01 1 (and 2, and 3, and 4). When I query the quest with SQV KRMain01 I can see that the quest is running, the clock is active, the day is set to 10, the current stage is 1, and the priority is 75. Any suggestions on what I might do to goose the messenger?

For the record, I have test KR w/ no non-official mods running, and still have the quest marker pointing at the Count.

I turned off ALL the mods I had running and still the same thing. I waited for a week and a half and still no monk. This is bs.

I was always very disappointed that you couldn't fix Kvatch. Or become the count or anything...
I'll run the quests, and rate after I've gone through it.
Looks fantastic though.

Ditto to this, exept haven't tried the commands. Can I use this mod without any of the official expansion packs or do I just need Oblivion...Sry if any of this sounds tarded but this is the first time i've ever tried using mods...

Just a note, guys. If you want help from modders, you ought to make an effort to be pleasant to them. Even if you're frustrated, remember that modders donate their time and are under no obligation to fix your problem or anyone else's, and the kind of dedication shown by those who do deserves respect. Please don't make comments like "yoor mod sux" or demand instant fixes from modders - it just increases the likelihood that they'll stop responding to requests for help, and you'll have screwed everyone else as well as yourself.
Also, please try to be as specific as possible. If you suspect a conflict with another mod that you're using, list the likely culprits. And please make an effort to write clearly and use punctuation. As a modder, I can tell you that it's really frustrating when you'd like to help someone, but their use of 'leet speek or aversion to punctuation makes it impossible to understand them. Especially when they get angry and start harrassing you about not responding to them.
Anyway, just try to show a little maturity and gratitude when making requests of modders, and remember that they neither profit from their work nor do they have entire teams of bugfixers to support them. A little patience is the least you can give them in return for their efforts.

Just a note and on my behalf, sainta. I downloaded this mod nine days ago and have progressed over a month in the game. I have wasted a lot of playing time on this mod. I have a girlfriend, a four month son and a full-time job. So I you might imagine I don't get to play that much. I have been very patient with this mod and respect the work that went in to it. I have done everything I could think of and been told to do to get this to work and always the the same outcome. I am very persistent, and that it why I don't just give up on this mod. I would expect a little pride out of the creators. If the mod is broke, which it is, fix it. Is that to much to ask for?

Vajiia, I can understand your frustration, but finding the cause of bugs can be a rather tricky and time consuming process (often much more so than implementing the actual fix). I've tried a few things to try and replicate your problem, but haven't managed so far. Which as you can imagine makes fixing the problem even more difficult (especially as most people don't seem to be experiencing your issue).
If you have a save game you could send me that has the issue, then that may help in sourcing the problem.
One thing that may be worth trying (if you haven't already), is to uninstall KR using the uninstall process (you may get some problems with the gates if you don't do this. Then once KR is completely uninstalled and you have a save without it, reactivate and restart KR.
dachi: Yeah the quest marker does point to the count a bit too early, but he's not the person you need to speak to Arnand who should be in the castle courtyard.
Roodboy:Plain Oblivion patched to 1.1 or higher should work ok.
Sainta117: If the stage is 1 then Ignar should be on his way to find you. Where abouts are you waiting? He starts tin the IC Market, but after a few weeks who knows where he'll be! Best advice is first head to the market district and see if he's there. If not find somewhere central ish (eg Weye) and wait a while using the wait/rest key in 24 hour blocks for a bit and see if that works (do not use Set GameDaysPassed to GameDaysPassed +x in this case.). If that still doesn't work then set the stage to 20, you'll miss out on a note but it's nothing major and hopefully you should be able to progress ok from there.
HUZZINNET:Not entirely sure which point your at in the quest, but I'm guessing you've talked to the guy at the docks. From there just follow the road to Kvatch and you should run into things ok (follow the blood...)
