Hello,
After updating to the latest patch I started getting crashes and blue screens. before the patch I only had occasional CTD's
I followed this link for Turning off DEP Skyrim Trouble shooting"
and also updated my video drivers to the latest nvidia beta drivers and last night I played for 5 hours without a single crash of any kind. not sure what made the difference drivers or dep but it is definetly running better now.
I should also point out that i am running a 64 bit machine with high level of ram but I never used any form of 4gb patch prior to the bethesda patch.

Lilpandagirl:The mods I´m using are the ones I was using before this patch and the game didn´t crash, I could play for a whole day without crash.I don´t understand this LAA patch much but couldn´t bethesda make the game not crash for 32 bit users that want to use better texture mods?I know any third party stuff installed in game is not bethesda´s responsability but they made the game moddable and it just works for some you know what I mean?

EDIT:Ok now my game doesn´t load my saved games not even start if I click new game -.- note that I didn´t install new stuff, just the patch and before it the game was working fine.

I have not had a single problem with Skyrim. As a matter of fact, the LAA patch made my game perform even better, so much so I can run the game at higher settings.

I got the patch lastnight and had my system straight reboot crash on me three times! I was only in for a bit 10 minutes each time, and I was unable to load my last save. I ran my CCleaner and did a quick defrag, loaded up and ran for 16 straight hours! Not sure the issue, but a good clean up seamed to work just fine for me. I am running a 6-core AMD with 8 gigs ddr3 AMD Radeon 6750 1-gig card. I have a good machine and Skyrim is set to max with zip lag....it was really strange to get crashes like that.

My point exactly. I think you should read my post again. Anyway, the crashing that some are experiencing seems to indicate that it is a problem with one of two: 1. Some pieces of hardware that are messed up by the patch or 2. Some kind of mod that breaks the game with the new patch. It has got to be one or the other considering only a fraction of the people who have updated experience problems.

As regards the actual LAA-patch it is meant to INCREASE stability on your kind of system. If it does the opposite for all users it is obviously Bethesda's fault. If it only happens too some users it would indicate that it is a problem client-side,so to speak, and not on the part of those who made it.

The fact that we have had to wait almost a month and a half for an actual official patch that enables what should have been enabled by launch, is another issue altogether.

Glad you worked it out. I suppose it was either an Script Dragon or SKSE script? Those start acting funny whenever a patch hits.

Had the patch on for a few days now, no crashes, no stuttering, the game is playing better than before. On the other hand, since the patch (and I waited a few days and checked several of my characters to be sure) most dragons have gone back to refusing to engage, circling rapidly several times and then flying off. Between three characters I've been able to kill one dragon which wasn't sitting at one of the wall locations and that was only because it landed in the courtyard of Fort Amol to attack the mages I was fighting so I was able to damage it on the ground to keep it hostile and attacking.

@aknot

While this may seem obvious, make sure you havent removed the field that that says "auto-update" somewhere in preferences in Steam.
