I think it would be cool if he could somehow mod in flying spells. i just always found it disappointing that skyrim is so big and the only ways to get around are on horse or foot. a good flying spell mod would make the game even more amazing

Really, the only thing that I'd like to see added, would be unlock spells.

I had wanted to create a thief magician in Oblivion, then put it off to create a mage thief in this game. My character had immediately become a battlemage instead as I fought back and forth across the continent hoping to find someone who contained the unlock spells, all to finally check the wiki and find out they removed the only set of spells I needed to make the character that I wanted, as I envisioned him. Totally. Devastated. Completely. Truly.

I think really cool spell would be a conjuration rune trap. You can only cast one like the destruction runes, but when an enemy walks on it they are slowed 100 percent for 10 seconds, and 4 weak skeletons are summoned up around them for 10 seconds.

A kind of astral projection:
It freezes time and the hovering camera is pulled out from your caracter so you can explore the dungeon further
----------------------------------
A kind of blade barrier:
Raises blades from the ground so the enemy can't come further.. they must walk around...
---------------------------------------------------
brilliant aura:
Your caracter emit light
---------------------------------------------------
corpse candle:
make the corpse around exploding causing fire damage
------------------------------------------------------
Water (new type of destruction), same thing than with the fire , shock and ice, but with water.
And shooting water on fire would extinct it...
--------------------------------------------------------
Darkness sphere:
A area where the ligthness is very low and make everyone kind of blind when inside..

This is a suggestion for mostly offensive spells. More spells that do damage, make things go boom, and visually wow you. Infernal blast is your best spell so far (imo) because it feels like a really really epic fire ball for a high level mage. I mean the visuals are amazing, and the fact that it sends walls of fire everywhere as well? Genius. One thing I want to see from this mod are more interesting versions of the generic destruction spells, and you nailed it with infernal blast. As far as the beams go, they are very nice although they aren't anything eye-popping. However, I believe that because they are lower level spells that should be the case anyways, so good job with those as well. Avalanche, plasma shards, and gravity well proved disappointing for me, although the concepts behind them were good. To fix avalanche, you need to take out the icicle that fires out, stop the insane knock-back from the spell, and make the rocks that fall actually do something; as an alternative, if you feel like you could pull it off, maybe you could make it so the rocks just shoot out from you directly. Gravity well has a very cool graphic, but you need to make it do more than just damage and stagger them. If possible, gravity well should pull in people and send them orbiting around it until it ends and they go flying off and collide into some object. With plasma shards it seems like you just took a bunch of electrified icicles and sent them flying off at distorted trajectories to make a spray graphic. It would be way more interesting if you made some legitimate crystal magic. Maybe make it a projectile spell that shoots a bunch of electrified high velocity shards like a shot-gun blast. Overall entangle was really awesome, and I like it how you adapted the spriggan magic spell and afflicted vomit, and although those last two could use some work, I like how you're working towards a nature school of magic. As far as frost magic goes, you should utilize the effect of the in game ice-flesh shout for some higher level spells. Maybe give them only a chance to freeze the enemy so that they aren't overpowered. Other than keep up the good work and bring back the stuff from your oblivion midas magic, that's all I've got for now.

Hi, Big fan of Midas from Oblivion and now Skyrim. I would like to see a couple of things.

First a spell that turns lower life forms instantly to dust... Or some unarmed unarmored humans ?
Of course you maybe light them up in flames or something but this would be good for the silly people in the game and playing it.

Second I thought a spell that resurrects someone for good as if they never died would be cool (I know you can use the console for that but for me its about game play)
Maybe the spell could cost you almost all your health and if you cast it with out enough health it could have bugs like the person dies again or wants to sleep a lot.

A spell that lets you see people highlighted based upon their relationship to you and or your faction and maybe shows they are essential before you take them on.

Last a spell that if you die in the 120 seconds say it is cast you are saved and beamed some place safer farther away.

Just some thoughtsPosted Image

Great mod, have followed midas magic since Oblivion and used it for years before I discovered all the spells etc.
I have a few ideas though:

Give some not ALL, but some of these spells to hostile npcs etc.
Going against a wizard and having him summon a wispmother or something would be interesting and also you would never know what to expect.
The only gripe I had with Midas Magic from obilvion was that the spellbooks in the 'other worlds' were too easy to obtain as the areas were too short.
I think making a long epic quest for each and every one of those other 'worlds' when you make them would make it extremely rewarding to get those new spells.

Now i really think everyones ideas are great. And im not sure if im even in the right thread for this but here goes. I really think as of now the midas spells are pretty weak. I know you were looking for something balanced but when i think midas i think crazy ass magic that could destroy the world and as you said yourself even open oblivion. Now when i say weak i dont mean the effects i mean they are litterally weak, youd think a heat lazer beam would destroy everything but it cant really even hurt bandits. My suggestion is that all midas magic should be at LEAST, THE VERY LEAST be apprentice level or higher, preferably adept or higher even for the lower frost and heat beam.
Also a few effect changes would really help. The first is midas summon swarm. instead of using a small little swarm, which dies pretty quickly and is a complete waste of mana at this point, just saying, use the same effect as ice storm but with bugs and make it a summonable pet. it would be a lot better if you have this whirling bug storm of doom than this tiny sad thing it is now. also i think meteor storm should actually be meteor and for meteor strom itself see if you cant take the effect from alduin to actually make it so the sky glows red and clouds swirl and meteors fall like at the beginning of the game.
Thats all i really wanted to say all the other spells just need polishing and i really like what youve done so far. I loved your first one and i just want that same epicness inn skyrim and id even be willing to support (financially) cause we need great modders like you.
