777thunder Posted December 24, 2011 Share Posted December 24, 2011 I started the companions quest by starting "take up arms" quest. I went out to fight the guy but I was using an enchanted weapon so all he kept doing is saying to not use magic. So I left to go buy a non enchanted weapon and when I get back he doesn't say anything about how I am supposed to fight him. He just has the talk icon on him and when I talk to him he just acts like a normal npc. When I fight him he just goes to the ground, recovers and gets back up. He never tells me to stop so I can not complete this quest or join the companions. I can not go to a previous save so I was wondering if anyone knows a way to complete this quest.
