i'm thinking along the lines of a shortsword with a weighted pommel, and a blade that starts at about 2.5 inch wide, then widends till about 4 at its widest, then comes to a close. Perhaps with a simple handguard, not even a proper basket. maybe a more shallow angle for the actual edge, so its more of a slicer than a chopper, and maybe 2 groves down the center of the blade. probably be half tang, and the pommel hald the width of the handguard. (all inspired by old roman stuff, so fits in with imperial legion).
Or maybe a bastard sword with a bone pommel with a sculpted dragon head on the end, with the design of the wings going down the blades length, slightly engramed in the normal map and textures, for good reflections. again, a shallower grind, and a narrow blade perhaps. for handle, wrapped leather (like a tennis bat) and the handguard a bar about 5 times the width of the blade, and with a design incorporating precious gems, or even a secondary precious metal, with the clasicall "two gems, one on each side of the handguard", and the other typical "the eyes of the sculpture are gems" look.

I'm wondering how difficult it would be to create a replacer mod, that uses some of these models for things like the Skyforge weapons, the Honed Ancient Nord weapons, and the Hero weapons... it always bothered me that they look exactly the same as the base steel/ancient weapons, and these would make some awesome alternatives. Plus it would look cool to see all the Companions walking around with these
I'm not averse to giving it a shot myself eventually... just putting it out there. Probably be really easy once the CK is out.

Are you maybe planning to add maces/hammers or something like that, I think it would be something that is missing in this mod. (and there are to little maces in vanilla anyway)

I dunno if they've been mentioned before (no time to check all 4 pages), but I'd love to see a spatha, a gladius, a Celtic sword, and a Leaf-bladed sword. Awesome work so far.

There aren't any decent maces in skyrim. (Blade user here.)
How much is your comission?

Or maybe even more blades with basket-hils, in the style of sabres and rapiers

Here's an easy request for the programmer of this mod.
-> ITEM CODE LIST <-
I know it can be done. The maker of the Weapons of the Third Era mod did it. Only thing that can't be calculated by you is the first two characters of the code which is done by whoever has the mod.

Hey, just realized there was a request section, so I'll restate what I wrote in the general comments section.
If the Dragonbrand sword could have an equally-awesome designed scabbard, it would make this mod perfect for me.
