After rifling through these pages I see that there is no point in trying to defend an argument either way about the mod getting FotM (by the way we are no longer in November) because the whole argument seems trivial to me.
The mod was voted FotM, deal with it, and don't whip out too many science degrees if you respond.

You can learn amazing things on Nexus threads XD. That's why we like them...

I remember one file called "Pick up chicks in Oblivion". Everyone rushed to download their favorite mod XD. The file received tons of votes and was the one of FOTMs, but not for expected reasons. With that mod you could do exactly what the title says: to pick up chicks (chickens) and put them in your inventory. When people figured the joke, they left comments like: "You got me dude. This is not what I expected" "You fooled me well" "Thanks for making me laugh". So this mod became FOTM by being a good joke. I noticed that Skyrim is also influenced by this mod. You can see chicks freely roaming around (I'm not sure if you can pick them up).

Such an assertion would be a logical fallacy - you might as well claim that since it is possible to find dogs that do not bark, barking is not a characteristic feature of dogs in general (at least in the context of the abstract concept of a 'dog' as it is taught to you by your social/parental environment). "Our continued survival as a species" is irrelevant when it comes to dealing with the issues of sexuality on a personal level, and here, on this board, it is persons that vote and not the human species as a whole. (Not to mention that the fact that certain individuals abstaining from, or being incapable of having sex is beneficial for the survival of the species is again completely irrelevant when you examine the individual - even genetically 'weak' units of a species will attempt to procreate with no regard for the survival of the special as a whole). Here, we are dealing with a social/cultural issue: if you want to go down the 'nitpicking' road, you might as well examine the socially implanted link between 'nudity' and 'sexuality'... but, in my opinion, that would be a case of 'not seeing the forest for the trees'.

Arena and Daggerfall were remembered for their nudity? This is about an uncreative mod winning solely because it is nudity.

These are characters in a video game, this is not real life. Also, I don't think people are really offended over this mod, just think that it's pathetic.

Vincent van Gogh, or "Van Gough" as you call him, was a great sculptor that is remembered for the accuracies of his sculpting as well the hard work. The mod author says it took him a five minutes to start and "somewhere between 3 to 10 hours for the proper nude model". Also he listed a 7 hour gap and the minimum he said was 3 hours. And how does bashing a mod that is focused on nudity "just shows the insecurities of the commenter"? No one is offended by it, we don't live in the Galielo's time.

Again, we don't live in Galielo's time. And what philosophies are you talking about? Do you even know any Christian philosophies? (I'm not Christian) I think you're confusing philosophies with scripture.

Even though I doubt anyone got offended over this mod, this needs to be addressed. It seems as if you don't understand animals don't posses an intellect. Animals only survive, humans think and reason. Also, with your other post:

You seem to think that we should live in Brave New World's society.

I figured a mod like this would win... I don't have any problem with the mod itself, but we all know the reason why most people download these types of mods, and it's not for realism. I don't think anyone really cares about the nature of the mod itself, but rather, the motivations for using it. All the down-voting and arguing just looks like people rushing to the defense of their motivations, which they don't want to admit to others, or possibly even to themselves. When people are so quick to defend trivial beliefs on the internet, it's often because they have doubts about their true motivations. Otherwise, they just look away.

Arena and Daggerfall were remembered for many things. Nudity was one of the features Why should nude mods be seen as inherently uncreative? What makes them uncreative. If it was a mod that retextured some armor (that took about 3 hours) people wouldn't be calling that uncreative would they?
Again why is this mod pathetic when it is no different to any other retexture mod? Again why does the amount of time spent on the mod make it any less worthy of being FOTM?
Of course people are offended by the mod otherwise there wouldn't be people like you trying to come up with silly ad hoc reasons as to why it shouldn't be FOTM (even though it's determined by votes!)
As for confusing scripture and philosophy I don't care which it is, it's still a load of rubbish
Newsflash: Animals are intelligent, just not as much as humans. Watch any nature documentary by David Attenborough. If you think we're the only animals capable of reasons then you are very wrong.
Yeah we should live in a Brave New World Society! Bring it on! I can't see what would be wrong with it.
In the mean time I'm going to download every nude/sex mod out there, endorse it and vote for it because that's the kind of stereotypical pathetic loner I am! XD
