The 'my immersion" excuse is pretty weak. Do you honestly think 100000+ people downloaded this mod because seeing dead women in underwear just completely rips them out of the game? The male nude mod doesn't even come close to the same amount of downloads. All of the Nexus' sites are dominated by adult material which is kinda sad.
Interview with Thepal, 1st place winner for Skyrim Nexus' FOTM con

The male nude mod is a lot newer and the male model is actually wearing a more plausible undergarment (a loincloth as such). Add to that most gamers are men, and knowing my husband, he'd much rather look at the nude female form then the male version.
When I was a little kid I remember many men left their Playboy magazines lying around their mancave basements and bar areas in the open without apology or self-consciousness. I remember being like 5 years old and noticing them and not in the least bit phased by it. The whole culture has suddenly got major 'issues'. In my opinion.

@Shawkab: "I don't think one person claimed you were a bad modder, except maybe one guy."
On the contrary. Everyone who is saying that this mod did not deserve its votes is saying that the mod was not well made. If it however is well done, people download it, appreciate it, and vote on it, it shouldn't matter what sort of mod it is.
Did the most work go into the mod of all mods on the Nexus? No. Does the mod have the best textures out of any mod? No, and it wasn't meant to. Was this the mod that the most people wanted to vote for due to liking it and thinking it was well made? Yes.
Were some of my votes by people thinking "Heh heh. Nude mod.". Probably. Were most of them? I doubt it. And I hate to tell you this, some of the votes for other mods were made in an attempt to make my mod not win. So it isn't just people voting for nude mods, there are people voting in the hopes of making nude mods not win. To quote one person who commented on another mod: "Everyone vote this for file of the month, its sad that the first file of the month will be the perv one".

Dominated? Really? If you want people to accept your arguments you might want to move a little closer too the truth next time.

I am new to the Nexus community, but I am not new to modding in general. So as a fresh, outside and unbiased opinion, this behavior really puts the Nexus community in a negative light. Casting aside and potentially deterring real talent just to cater to the lowest common denominator shows the modding world that integrity and professionalism mean little to the nexus community.
I am of the personal opinion that these adult mods should either not be included in the contest, or have their own category. All I see is someone who exploited a well known community interest for nothing more then attention. Where's the creativity, originality or talent here? The Skyrim experience is in no way enhanced with mods like these. I mean, unless your a teenage boy that is. To add insult to injury, I think people actually pay for a premium account just to access this content. There is plenty of adult content already on the internet, the need for it here, just doesn't make much sense. I really feel bad for all the modders who volunteer an insane amount of personal time and contribute some very impressive pieces of work that will go largely unnoticed and unappreciated because someone decided to spend 5 mins creating some T&A. Kind of pathetic when you really get down to it. I'm sure the same people who voted for this mod will be in here downvoting and reporting anything they disagree with, which just serves to affirm my opinion that much more.
For record, and for clarification, I am neither offended or upset about this. I just think it's a shame.
I would like to see this community continue to thrive, but I am little concerned about revenue that allows this to happen. I can see many advertisers and financial contributors pulling out or avoiding the site altogether for fear of being associated with such content.

hmmm...... I personally do not think it is file of the month, although I think all of the s*** people are giving about it is entirely uncalled for. It is unfair to say work did not go into this mod, as any mod being developed before good tools are released is going to be. This content is easily hidden for those who find it offensive. I personally do not use this mod, but that does not mean I hate it. I find homosexuality offensive personally but I have not objected at bethesdas implementation of it, I understand other people have the right to experience that which they enjoy. I do not think this should have been file of the month, from a purely objective perspective, how is a more beautiful character different from any other HD enhancement to the game? The fact that people find it offensive lies at values borne of morality and dignity. If people wish to adhere to such qualities maybe they should be much less arrogant, degrading, and overall dick-ish about there approval.

Make an "Adult-Only" and a "Non-Adult" FOTM category.
Problem solved. Everyone is happy.

To be honest this was one of the firs mods i downloaded. I always download nude mods for rpgs (both genders), as it bothers me to NOT SEE ANY NUDES. Nudity is part of the daily life, so of course it should be in rgs. Im 64 years, happily married and PEOPLE THINK I SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO USE A MOD LIKE THIS???
Weired.

Actually, making two FotM sections would not make everyone happy. That is like saying that adult mods are not real mods, or shouldn't be included with everything else. There are names for that sort of thinking.

And yet pornography is technically cinematography, but for some odd reason it isn't accepted, nor acknowledged, legitimately, as such by the majority of society. The recognition's, awards and accolades for that genre are kept separate from mainstream cinema. Maybe there is a reason for that. Skyrim, aside from from the violence, doesn't contain any other "adult" content, yet people seem to think it's necessary for "realism" and "immersion". I personally don't understand this mentality. During normal gameplay the only time you would even see the nudity is after killing and looting a body. So, really, it just screams perversion in that respect. I get the novelty aspect but that's as far as my understanding of it goes. If Bethesda wanted a truly adult oriented game, they would have included more of that sort of adult content themselves. There is no foul language, or inuendo past grade school level flirting. This just takes what they intended and adds a helping of crude perversion to it. I don't have any qualms with these mods existing, they just need to be in an adult only area and not advertised and praised on the front page of the site. I mean, unless that's the sort of image Skyrim Nexus is going for. I am a pretty open minded individual and yet, you come off as a hypocrite stating you don't care about recognition and accolades and here you are fighting for that very thing. You released the initial release with about 5 minutes worth of work in hopes you would be the first on the scene with this kind of mod and receive all the attention and recognition that would entail. What kind of individual looks at a just released title and says to himself, "What, no nudity? This grotesque oversight must be fixed immediately!" Instead of fixing a bug or improving general gameplay in some manner, that was your first instinct? You aren't fooling anyone here.
