maxolina
I was cleaning my Skyrim install from any mods, and I accidentally deleted my Steam_api.dll from the folder aswell. Now, even if I try to very the game cache via steam it wont redownload it. Can someone upload his steam_api.dll file from the skyrim folder for me please? http://steamcommunity.com/id/maxolina/ Here you can see that I really own the game, just click on "view all 121 games". Iv000
Try Pandora recovery to restore the .dll: http://www.pandorarecovery.com/If you're lazy, then download it here: http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?steam_api EDIT: Just fyi, if you're downloading the .dll from the link I provided, click "Download zip file" not "Download steam_api.dll fixer". maxolina
Doesent work. Thats not the right DLL file. It's probably the steam_api.dll from another game. Could you please upload your steam_api.dll from the skyrim folder please? http://megaupload.com/ It's just a few kilobytes... It'll take you a few seconds. :(

YumPie3141
Would uninstalling it and reinstalling it work?
wesside0yes
Would uninstalling it and reinstalling it work? If you had the exact same problem, I assume you deleted the same respective .dll file as the original poster did? You should download the file one of the earliest responder posted if, however, this is not the case reinstalling will solve your problem. Just make sure you don't accidentally erase your savegames. YumPie3141
Thanks for the help. Any ideas why it is running super slow though? This is why i accidentally deleted the steam_api.dll in the first place, because it was running extremely slow and I was trying to clean out my mods (I thought this was the problem). YumPie3141
Also, I did alter the amount of RAM skyrim could handle from <2gb to 2gb+, but this doesn;t seem to do anything.
