Yes, I am aware that a topic with the same subject exists...but it is locked. I have the same problem-why has my post count not risen? I have posted quite a few times in the last three days [not including Snow Arena; I know those do not count towards your total]. You can see for yourself here. In the old thread, someone made a comment about off-topic...do posts in ANY off-topic forum count towards your total post count? Or is there another reason behind this? Please reply.

Well remeber, when you post in a thread that's deleted, or your individual post itself is deleted from a thread, it reduces your post count by 3, instead of 1. That can really grow exponentially.

None of my posts have been deleted though..... My post count has risen whenever I've posted outside of the Off Topic forum, but not when in it. So, a question for the mods-have the rules bee nchanged to where posting in the off topic forum not increase your count? Please say no......I love Off Topic...in fact around 50% of my posts are there [I believe ]

The Off-Topic forum now does not count towards your postcount. Neither does posting in the Newbies or Characters forums. Dark0ne wanted to leave you to work it out for yourselves (and I think you have, at least partially)

AHAH! i knew these forums were all just one big conspiracy.... :shifty:

but Dark0ne IMO i think we were beginning to work that out anyway, with everyone saying "i posted heaps in the off-topic forum but am getting no nearer to increasing my post count" but can i throw something at switch anyway? .... fine i wont, jeez nvr have any fun.

I know some things i.e the snow arena dont count towards your post count any way but, why does my profile saymost of my posts are in the snow arena # of percent of posts as well, any way to fix this?

Yeah, I'd say we've pretty much figured it out too....I'm guessing this was to stop blatant spam just to raise post count?
