Title basically describes my problem; any ENB series crashes Skyrim instantly. Once I install it and open Skyrim the application wrapper (Can't think of it's proper name to save my life) tries to find my optimal settings and instantly crashes, I then restart Skyrim and check in the settings to see if anything changed, everything stays the same apart from Graphics Adapter which changes to ENB.

I do have a few mods installed already, but I don't think any of them can conflict with ENB:


My current specs are:
GTX 560 Ti
Asus P8Z68-V/Gen3
i5 2500K (4.5GHz)
6GB G.Skill Ripjaw RAM
Windows 7 64bit

Removed all mods and it still doesn't work so it wasn't a conflict.

You installed it correctly, yes? Are you running a cpu boosting program in the background?

Or, are you running any kind of GPU monitoring software like ATi Tray Tools or MSI Afterburner? These are known ot potentially interfere with ENB's injection method and can cause crashes.

Also, have you tried turning your OC off completely? 4.5GHz on i5 or an i7 isn't stable no matter how cool it is, or how high you crank the voltage.

I have tried without my OC (it's stable enough to last 12+ hours of Prime95 xD) and I still crash. What annoys me is that it used to work and then just randomly... stopped.

try this to your Skyrim.ini



I have the same card. Whenever I didn't have the ugridstload=7 it would CTD.

C:\Users\USER NAME\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\Skyrim.ini

I normally use MSI Afterburner, so I can monitor my GPU's heat and make sure the fan is automatically adjusting okay.

Is there a way to make it so the game DOESN'T crash while using it? Or is there another program I can use to do the same thing?

This is my same problem.
i have GTX 560 Ti too and i need to boost with afterburner otherwise skyrim crashes in a few minuts at ultra-high settings.
there is a way to run enb with afterburner or an Oc gpu?

I'm running an i7 sandy bridge with 16gb ram and an EVGA nvidia gtx590--i was having the same problem, and this post actually helped me fix it.

Here's how: open afterburner. turn up fan all the way (don't use dynamic fan--just crank it all the way). Next, close afterburner, making sure you have the icon closed in the taskbar too. Your GPU fan should stay at speed even though Afterburner is now closed.

NOW start Skyrim--it worked for me.
