I have a huge issue with the auto-update. First being the chances of mod to mod compatability issues. Another is when I download a mod from nexus, sometimes I only take 1 item from the mod. Which leads me to wonder if when the mods are downloaded, is there a seperate file directory that I can view the mods.

It seems they have made the CKs steam workshop very easy to use. So easy to use, that it will most likely draw a lot of the traffic away from Nexus. But this is a good thing! It will help thin out some of the trolling and useless comments some users make. Nexus won't be so crowded.Making Nexus an even better place to get the mods you want.

Yeah... think i'll be sticking with nexus rather than having the game auto install all the mods ive chosen, regardless of load order.

Personally i have no issues with steam, but i will not use this steam workshop stuff... I perfer to decide which version of a mod i use myself, sometimes an update doesn't mean it gets better.
I've had a few mods where updates actually F****** my game up, and i had to revert to an older version "Remember folks: make backups"
But looking forward to the CK, combine all my character mods in one esp. Instead of having to load 12 separate esp's

I welcome the Steam workshop. I think it's great that there's going to be a secondary place to look for mods. I'm sure most mods will be hosted on both the Nexus as well as Steam so I see Steam workshop as being like a backup server really. Now whenever the Nexus goes down for maintenance for the day there will be another outlet to look for mods. So I think it's a good thing.

@Yellowjackett
Wow, you really wanted to hit some people's sensible spot right? Anyways, the Nexus isn't going anywhere, I've seen quite a lot of modders saying how they aren't planning on uploading their stuff to the Workshop and one of the reasons is Steam's terms over upladed mods (I'm not sure of what those terms were, but I think Steam would claim mods copyright, correct me if I'm wrong).

"the next time you play the game the launcher will automatically download the latest version of the mod"
And if it's bugged
Or you don't like that version
Or you don't use the loader
etc..etc...
No thanks
