Hullmet
I have to admit first off Skyrim was the first game i experimented with modding, so any question/point that makes me seem like a noob, i am sorry in advance. Today skyrim updated and i had problems with nexus mod manager launch with SKSE. The note requested i update SKSE, which i did, copying the new files to my skyrim folder and deleting the older version launch file. Now when i use Nexus mod manager to launch the game through SKSE, a black window flashed for about a second on the screen, before i am back to the desktop again...no launch of skyrim. Am i missing something with the latest update/SKSE? I have a few mods installed, including catagorized menus, TESV acceleration layer, SKYUI, realistic lighting without post processing and realistic maps to name the few that could be causing the conflict? Any advice/commiseration is appreciated, H

Anyone else in the same boat? further edit: reverting to version 1.9.2 solves issues with latest SKSE and Skyrim patches, hope this helps fellow noobs like me Edited February 2, 2012 by Hullmet

ironopolis
I'm having this problem to and I didn't install the categorized favourites menu either, I'd installed the skyui mod and I've deleted everything to do with that mod from my folders just in case and with the same outcome, plus I've tried a reinstall. Also I've updated my skse to the latest one. I'm starting to panic since this was my first attempt to mod any of my games and now I can't access the game at all :(. This is the info I get in my skse log: SKSE runtime: initialize (version = 1.4.8 04150000 01CCE150C3389520)imagebase = 00400000runtime root = D:\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\plugin directory = D:\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\SKSE\Plugins\checking plugin D:\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\TESVAL.dllplugin D:\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim\Data\SKSE\Plugins\\TESVAL.dll (00000001 TESVAL 00000002) reported as incompatible during queryinit complete ^^ Hope this helps, thanks in advance. ironopoLis

codeman14112
I have also had these problems ,but they are not coming from the same source so what I recommend is to go through all of your mods like I did it turns out a couple mods I had for a few meshes being changed were the culprit of my problem so I highly recommend seeing if it is one of your various other mods.
