dartmaul15, seems there is no doubts you started having problems after the patch, the question is: are you sure is the patch that is "broken" or something already in your game is breaking it or that something is outdated for the patch?
Remember, the savegame may be itself compromised by now, a sad reality that is not exclusive of Skyrim, it was the same for the previous games too, Morrowind, Oblivion (even Fallout series) had mods invalidated by patches or that broke the game after patches until it (the game) became stabilized enough and the mods updated.
That's a risk all users should be aware when modding a game, instabilities and issues may happen even when the game is stable by itself (and may be never completely stable), introduced by mods conflicts, bugs, sometimes an unnoticed flaw in the game may be exposed by a mod... is astonishing the number of things that can go wrong... but this risk is much, MUCH greater in earlier stages of the game patching.
Edit to complement: the 1.4.21 will not be the last patch, it only began covering the many quests bugs and game instabilities may exist yet, be discovered and fixed ahead, let's hope the next patches don't need to make structural changes so to invalidate the existent mods and the other way around.
