ahh...in godreach i see, the guy after his friend
this is the easiest quest i ever saw, i do not know how you cant do it but you enter the only entrance to the sewer in godreach, from there, walk forward, then 90 degrees right, walk through one of those 2 little door jamb things, and youl see 4 people, and you have to pay some fee to let him go...a gambling fee.

They are easily defeated if you hire some slaves and the warrior in the the palace courtyard. But you could find the men that keeps Dilborn from the goodreach if you enter and you turn right in the sewers.

Ah...yes, the aptly named Thrud, looking for his friend Dilborn. They are in the sewers beneath Godsreach. I would, if you choose not to pay the heavy 3,000 septim toll, attack the thugs closest to Dilborn. Otherwise, the unarmed/unprotected Dilborn will be killed, and Thrud will not give you his reward: a nice skillbook entitled trap- a real Twilight Zone story.

what i did was, i paid, then killed the, you know...revenge, its actually an easy quest if your not level10, but for my character who was level 72 at the time...it was quite a short fight.

Sludgewort's post deleted. There is no need to post the same information twice.
If your speechcraft is high you can get the ransom reduced to 1000 septims.
