Makes me think maybe all previous endorsements from a certain date shouldn't be counted, it's fairly unfair. Mods have built up their numerous endorsements with time, it's quite an overwhelming number.

skyUI has 7800, the PC is hes/hers.

Since only endorsements from "recognized mod authors" count, and their defined as "users who have uploaded a file to one or more NEXUSMODS.COM sites that has received over 1,000 unique downloads" it's hard to judge by the displayed endorsement figures.

Maybe the Nexus could make the "endorsements from mod authors" figure view-able on the mod pages as well? Doubt it, though.

What is the "mod author" membership group? I have two somewhat decently popular Skyrim mods, both with +5000 unique downloads. But I'm still just tagged as a "member" according to my profile page.

Something I completely misunderstood?

@lthot: It's a secondary usergroup that grants its members access to the private mod author forum, so it wouldn't override the primary "Member" group like being a moderator would do.

"A recognised mod author is a user who has 1,000 or more total unique downloads on their files across one, or more, Nexus sites. At the moment that total is at 6,250 members (11/05/2011). These members have been put in to a secondary member group on the forums that allows them to view the private mod author forum on the forums. If you're in any special member group that has special features (like being a Supporter or Premium Member) then those features will be unaffected by this change. New members who meet the recognised mod author criteria are added automatically once a day."

If there were only 6k members in that group 4 months ago I imagine the number of "mod author" endorsements on the pre-CK mods are actually quite low.
