trippinferret7
Is it just creation kit or do you need other programs?
Babageee
I Use. Gimp - to open and convert texture files. (into photoshop files .psd and back to .dds files that skyrim uses) Photoshop to edit the textures. blender to edit mesh files and most important nifskope to edit the Nif files - so the mesh with texture can be made skyrim ready. Gimp, blender and Nifskope are all free to download. but check out some tutorials on all three before you get started. I wouldn't say its a straight forward process, has taken me many frustrating hours of self teaching to get even the basics down. and bear in mind that at the moment nifskope is not really skyrim ready, but there are work arounds available. i can give you a few pointers to get you started if you like, PM if so. Good luck.
MShoap13
There's an nVidia plugin out there so that PhotoShop can handle .dds files on it's own. NVIDIA Texture Tools for Adobe Photoshop
