Markarth House Mod

I'm currently created a house mod for my character, but also making an alternate file of the same house that includes a couple of quests + progressive building of said house. I've made several Morrowind mods, and have a ton of experience on modding (although limited knowledge on scripting). I'll surely need some input from the mod community to help perfect this mod, and probably some suggestions on the scripts I come up with. I plan on working on it daily until I feel it is flawless (what can I say, I'm a perfectionist), which means the mod probably won't be released until late March and into April.

 

First of all, the theme of the house is "Dwemer elevator".

I want to script the switches to bring the player to all three levels seamlessly, and make sure that once the lift moves, the switches won't work until it stops at the next level. I plan on having a MessageBox come up when you OnActivate each switch that says "Which level?" and three boxes below it stating "1st", "2nd", and "3rd". I've been sneaking a peak at Bethesda's scripts for switches, and man do they look confusing. This will take a while. If anyone could help me with this script/language, I'd appreciate it.

Here is a view from when you first enter the Markarth Home. The 3rd level will be the player's bedroom, the 1st floor will be storage and display (along with archery practice), and the main level will include a "dragon mouth" entrance to Alchemy and Enchanting (ice themed).

Finally, here is the view from within the Alchemy/Enchantment room.

 

The quests that I'll include will feature the old owner (voiced by me, I have a pretty nice mic setup in my closet for recording singing). He will of course sell you the home, and tell you what's wrong with it. The lift will start as broken, the bedroom will be unfurnished, and an attached cave will be infested with rats and spiders.

 

So far it looks barren, but it makes sense since the Creation Kit is 48 hours old. I've already made progress with the bedroom. My one hurdle right now is figuring out how to script this lift, and make it go up and down seamlessly, with three switches that animate both the lift platform and the lift pipe up and down.
