Once the archer is within range of his spell, the Cerboean stops moving. He crouches down to minimize the chances of being seen by the archer and puts his entire concentration on the spell.

Seeing that Karath might be in need of help, Solros picks up a small stone from the ground near the orcs and floats it in front of them, trying to catch their attention. Then he moves it between them. Maybe they'll trurn with it and away from Karath, he thinks.

Kyrene whips the sword around in a cross-cut at the orc hopefully before it lets out a warning shout.

Karath crouches down and easily avoids the swing from the orc, in fact, the swing seems to carry the orc well out of position, almost as if the axe were too heavy for him. His own thrust, however, seems to have been planned for a target that had not been put out of position, also misses. (Karath - attack 25 (+10 xps)

Solros' stone comes over, and seems to have the unarmed orc mesmerized, at least for the moment. (Solros spell roll (105 ) (100xp)

The Archer raises his bow and looses an arrow at the horseman riding past, his aim is very good, but the arrow narrowly misses. As he nocks a second arrow, the Cerboean's bolt sizzles through the air and catches the orc flush. He turns, startled, and collapses. (Cerboean spell roll 115, B level critical 45 exp = 216)

Kyrene's cut misses, and the orc tries to grapple her. He is successful, and moves his open mouth toward a patch of exposed skin. (Kyrene att (15)exp=10)

Karina's charge continues unabated, and she will be at the other orcs momentarily. They seem to be flinching as she comes.

Morgo and Zuriel will be at the base of the hill momentarily as well, and seem to be in good position. Morgo's axe is raised, and the orc who turned seems to flinch.

Karath changes his motion from a thrust to a slash and tries to drag the dagger across the orcs back(or front, I'm not sure which way he is off balance) While bringing the other dagger around and plants it is the orc's chest(or back....)

Kyrene tries a desparate move to get the (diseased?) orc away from her (I so don't want that thing to bite me!)

As the orc grabs her, she falls back, letting the orc's momentum carry them back. Simultaneously, as she hits the ground, she kicks up and out with her feet hopefully (very hopefully and with the adrenaline pumping big time ) getting the orc to fly over the top and away from her.

Seeing the orc's reaction, Karina pulls up on the reins, trying to get Kellian to stand and rear. She then brandishes her katana, swinging it in wide loops over her head while shouting whatever war shout comes to her mind at the top of her lings. After the brief display, she spurs Kellian on again to ride down the hopefully disheartened orcs.

Karath's move works well, and the Orc finds itself with a slice across its back and a dagger protruding from its stomach. The backswing catches him, however, though not with the sharp part of the axe. Karath sees red for a second, and a trickle of blood flows into his eyes. The axe flies out of the orc's hands and lands some ten feet away. The other orc sees what happened and lunges toward the body of the fallen orc, cowering behind it, apparently in a submissive pose. (Karath attack 1 105, attack 2 148 (VERY LUCKY), takes B critical. Tot exps = 314)

Karina's move startles the orcs even more than expected. One drops everything and raises its arms over its head. The other starts running quickly up the side of the hill. The slope appears to be too steep for Kellian to go up. (observation 94, tot exp = 80)

Kyrene's move starts to work perfectly, until the time comes to get the legs into it. Her move kind of flips her and the orc over, as the orc weighs a LOT less than she expected. As she rolls, the orc stays right with her, and they both wind up doing a kind of backwards roll. When it is done, Kyrene has hit her head on something hard, but is straddling the orc's chest, who appears to be out cold underneath her. (MA Sweep attack = -54, fumble, 66 roll, totexp = 165)

The other two orcs are quickly dispatched by Morgo and Zuriel.

Solros is observing the battlefield, in an attempt to spot where his help would be most needed.

Karath steps back, blinking rapidly and steading himself. He pulls his blades from the orc and looks at the other. Then Looks around for one of his party members, while keeping an eye on the orc. 'Perhaps we can interrogate him.....' He thinks to himself.....
