'Out of Memory"
Maybe using the CFF Explorer, available here on nexus
http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/32405/?
to let the CS use more than 2 gigabytes of RAM.
It is a utility that allows you to change some settings in .exes, like ones limited their use to certain amount of RAM, It walktrhu pictures are for doing so to the oblivion .exe but you can use it for most .exes

Yet you had money for the game? I was gifted GOTY edition by my grandparents, so I don't know the cost. A retail disc version would be less expensive than steam, if you can find a good used Gamestop copy

Greetings.
Why ? Simple : a lot of mods need SI not only for some textures ( or meshes) but also because there is already a patch included in this one .

Well now if a mod "need" SI , you also know it need a certain Oblivion version ...
Others also refer to the Dark Seducers ( or to the Golden Saints ) , and this is especially the case for this mod.

Most of this land use the Shivering Isles textures so ...
I'm playing with a french version but it was really a pleasure to hear ( in english , of course) the comments from these two races ... you , english users are very lucky , because in the other translated Oblivion's versions , the voices are much more "reduced" ( = shared between the different races) .

This mod is a " modder resources " now and without the SI , there is nothing very "special" right now there ( except the "zigged twillight" - sorry not sure of the englishj name - but they are "creatures" , so , without dialogue).
Without them , i think it's better to use Morroblivon as another "modders resources" , but it seams there are some "copyright" problems with this one , so , unfortunatly , you cannot share it with the community.

Cheers.

Greetings.

Yes.

Better to test this land by yourself. Use an "invisibility" Spell ( or a spell attached to a ring or an amulet) if your character is a low-level ( or the TGM console command - God mod - ) , because the Golden Saints, Mazkens ( Dark Seducers" and the "zigged Twillight" ( not sure of the name , in french it is "Ombre aillée" , they are the "blue Azura servants in the game Morrowind) are strong ... and very agressive. Of course the Dremora are powerfull too for a low level "visitor".

As i already said , this is a land to use as a "modder resources" ... so it's better if you already got Morrowind by the past and if it is still working in your computer ( i know there is some problems to launch Morrowind with some W7 + some graphic cards ), if it's the case , use it to recreate some towns or specific areas . ( with an old "decent" computer , you can launch both the Morrowind Construction Set and the Oblivion one).

Before playing this mod , i will suggest to you to create ( = add somewhere in Vvardenfeld ) another door ( like a magical portal) to come back to Tamriel easily, but don't go there without performing the first quest in Anvil ( this one is here to "initialyse" the mod), or don't save if you don't want to speak with Percius in Anvil.

Cheers.

PS : unfortunately you cannot use both this mod and "Morroblivion" because they share the same "Space World" .

In response to post #17065724.

Hi there.

Unfortunately i don't think so because there is a lot of scripts ... without the scripts ( completed) and we need the "Sheet book" to know what these scripts are supposed to do.

So , it a wonderfull "modder ressources" now , just for your own use .
Try Google , there is now an advanced version of " Morroblivion "( i suppose for english users only as always ... bouhhh ... ) if you want an already populated world.

Or "Morroblivion' but you will not be able to share it , because there is some rights ( copyrights) and it's not only a "problem" with Bethesda , but with the different producers of thes two game.

I know Dark0ne already told about this "Mod/Converter" a few years ago , but i don't have the link ( make a search on the Nexus forum if you want to know exactly what's wrong with this "mod" ) .

Cheers.
