moon base is possible but, this is a series for fallout factions and adventure I would not like to see the TSC become a mass effect, dead space, star trek, like mod.

...you're probably right. Moon/Mars base maybe, but whatever took place would have to be within the solar system.

While it would actually be possible to do a space-like mod, but after further research I think that would be getting too far off track.

One thing I'd like to see is a logical explanation for dumping their power armor. Power armor weighs 50 pounds. Enclave soldiers have about 5 to 6 strength. With their armor on, it's increased to 6 to 7, making their carry weight something like 210 to 220 pounds, with only a quarter of it is taken up by their armor. It's nowhere enough to encumber them and the extra protection would be very useful when traversing a wasteland filled with giant scorpions, mutant bears, and ten-foot-tall murder lizards. That has always bugged me.

I'd rather like to know that for sure myself. It could be that they didn't have sufficient parts to effect repairs, but I don't know.

Gameplay mechanics do not always translate in to the story. This was done for story reasons to give reason for needing the Hammerhead Armor

It still doesn't quite work. It might if they were like NCR salvaged power armor since there's nothing helping them at all but functioning power armor should help carry itself. It just feels like they were carrying around the idiot ball when they made that decision. Even then, it doesn't really matter going to Russia. I have a closet full of power armor by that point in the game. I can just donate a suit of Hellfire armor. Nylus is supposed to be the one who worked on it. He should have little issue with it and it, in DR terms, is far superior to Hammer Head Armor.

I always disliked the HH armor stats. I guess Nylon was going for osmething a bit more narrative in structure rather then just a fetch/collection quest of what's already in the game.

I suppose. The HH armor bit could be avoided if he bumped them up above Hellfire levels, though, if only slightly. Frankly, I think 72 DR works fine.

I think he's planning on doing so. the HH is not supposed to be the final product. It just gives Dr. Nylus and his team a base for Project Aegis.

Quite. Do you think that personal shields will be in the Aegis PA? I would love to see the look on Irons' face when he shoots a TSC HH trooper and it just bounces off, with some slight shimmering.
