May I apologise in advance if i am asking the wrong question, in the wrong thread, and the answer may have already been posted elsewhere.

In Mournhold, I have been told I am responsible for releasing the crimson plague, and to make amends I must tackle the "powerful lich" holed up in the tombs beneath the temple sewers.

I had already swept these sewers clean of all foul beings, and this powerful lich is the only thing left down there.

I can hear it, and I can see where it will be, but I cant get to it.
Using only my eyes and ears, It is obvious that the lich is behind what look like two huge granite rock doors.
I have tried many ways of opening these doors, and I have been back to speak to the priestess at the temple to see if she can offer any advice...but no...nothing seems to open the doors.

Could anyone offer help or advice please?

It has been asked and answered and basically if you are looking for a response on how to do a quest you need to post in spoilers. As you are new I will answer the question but will also lock it. For further discussion please go to the open thread. You need to talk to the Khajiit (Shunari) who asks for your help to be cured and who has agreed to meet you in the Temple gardens (part of the sewers). Only talking to her after you have cured her gets access to the lich. If you have not met the Khajiit you need to go back to the healer and talk to her again as you must have missed something out.
