I know that it may be unrealistic to block 100% damage from a melee attack, but for gaming purposes I would greatly appreciate it if someone would make a mod that caused the player and all npcs to block 100% of melee attack damage when blocking. I beat all the main quests vanilla, but now I have little desire to play any more without this mod. Thanks.

This is what I got so far.

You start the game with 100% block from having a new perk called "Battle Hardened". Then the block perks were changed so that NPC's get the original block bonus, but the player gets tanking instead. Unless 100% block isn't enough then I guess you get both. Tanking comes in the form of 25% more health, and like the vanilla is based on having increased block skill. Got anything...

@GrindedStone

If I understand you correctly, you are saying that there could be perks that cause the ability to block 100% of damage. I'm sorry if I don't exactly understand what you meant. I'm not the brightest laddie. Honestly I'm not super hardcore. I beat the game with only cosmetic mods, so that the gameplay was still vanilla; now I just want a mod that causes the player and all npcs to block 100% damage. like I said, I'm not hardcore enough to care whether it's implemented as a perk or not. A simple .esp being checked to cause this effect is fine by me, but for the hardcore, who care about lore and such; this would be a fine way to do it. Thanks for the reply, and again, sorry if I have misunderstood what you wrote.

I tested it a few different ways. It didn't feel right so I deleted it. I might try again later.

i think blocking was capped at 85% i think i saw somewhere.

FAKED 100% blocking by reducing damage to zero with conditions that 1) you are blocking 2) its not magic 3) the target is between 100 and 260 degrees of you with respect to z axis, ummm yeah i mean like this http://i.imgur.com/b8DIw.png ,basically in front of you in 160 arc.

then i added 2billion% to blocking (still 85%) so you are double bagged.

about adding it to mobs umm good luck with that..... you might try messing with ck settings under gameplay and search fblock but i'm not sure what that effects, i think its just you.

hopefully it works out for ya.

EDIT:

Attached File  blockv2.rar   956bytes   51 downloads <- changed angle to better match blocking angles 110-230 degrees

While your mod didn't block 100%, it definitely helped. Thanks a bunch for your help!

hmmmmmmm don't know whats wrong then. i deleted mine and DLd it again and it works for me. there are a few times where it doesn't pick up the 100% if they come at you at weird angles and only uses the 85% but 99% of time its 100% for me.also if it was working i would reduce the angle a bit because sometimes i get hit from side and it still blocks the damage but yeah if it not working idk

edit: made it 110 to 230 , 120 degrees offset to the left by 10 since shield/sword is offset a little........ that is if you get it to work or even look back here lolo

I tried your new mod. It didn't work for me. I wonder if I have a conflicting mod. The only other mod I have that is to do with blocking is "Deflect arrows perk fix. I unchecked it, but I still got the same results from your mod. Who Knows what it is. I did use the console to make my block "infinity." I wish I knew why it won't work for me. Thanks tons for helping me!

oh well yeah i wouldn't think it would be a conflict with a blocking mod anyway since its not technically blocking reducing it , wish i knew Posted Image
