Very very good mod. Now all it needs for female characters, to change the armor look into a killa LA kill anime armor (similar story--almost same ending).
Maybe some1 will make this mod *addon*.

Now to get serious. I only had one little problem with OOO when the story npc at the tower froze when he attacked the gargolye npc. I managed to fix it by teleporting to city and back. I went evil path.

I like the idea of this, but it needs a female armor type. Nothing extremely skimpy, just something more compatible with HGEC. I'd do it myself, but I have no knowledge of the construction set or how to do so.

SPOILERS

I just started out playing this mod after trying other mods from Simyaz and I haven't gotten much farther than the introduction to the armor and "what it can offer me". Anyway, here's my impression so far: When I got to the Imperial encampment and worked my way into the underground, things just seemed somewhat amateur. Some sounds were too quiet while others were so loud that they came out of nowhere and made me jump. The blurred vision screen effect kept repeating over and over while I was marching towards the tower, the voice acting was mediocre, the first puzzle was a hinderence and out of place - in a mod that involves rapid story progression, the last thing the player wants to do is get stuck trying to figure out a riddle. This kind of thing is only for slower moments where the player is still unsure of what's going on.

Yet, the presentation of introduction to the armor itself is where to mod excelled. While you're approaching the location of the armor you keep getting visions in your head as the armor calls you closer, proposing that you don the armor to defeat the lich. Of course when you do defeat it, you are transported to a strange color-contrasted world where everything but the most interesting details are grayed out. You hear a melody playing as a voice speaks in song and gestures you in deeper into this place. After some moments in a dining area a physical manifestation of the armor presents itself and speaks to you formally, essentially explaining that you have signed a lease by agreeing to wear the armor and you will now do as it tells you... or else.

A good intro is an important thing. First impressions matter. If you ask me, the whole "battle against the lich" thing was kind of needless and really served no purpose other than to stall the introduction to the armor. I think that you should have either cut to the point and introduced the armor sooner, or made those first few events more significant to the story. Then again, I didn't play enough to know much about the story and I might not be able to with my current character whose stuck on a crashing quest.

This is my favorite of your mods, Simyaz. The story and voice acting is excellent, although Cleon's voice really threw me for a loop. And the alternate good and evil paths are extremely diverse and enjoyable. The fights against the armor itself on the good path are very well scripted and quite unique. Also, the damage the armor puts on a good guy makes for a fantastic challenge. Although I enjoy the evil path much more; the story is extremely fun over all.

At this point, if I go anymore north I'll be in Chorrol, is there ANY map marker that's close to the crypt, and in which direction? I've scouted the entire mountain and I'm not seeing a thing.

I'm basing what the gulley is by Shadeleaf Copse, if that helps at all.

EDIT: I had to be all cheaty to find it, and look at a picture, but I finally found it, just completed the mod, PLEASE continue it! It's really good!

I've just finished playing this Mod again (albeit the 'final' version of it) and I have to say, I'm reminded again of why I loved it so much the first time. The complex story, deep characters and intricate conflicts that you as a player experience make this Mod a truly compelling story that really has to be experience more than once to gain a full appreciation of it. The lack of 'black and white' in the morals and absolute 'greyness' of parts makes it even better for me. It's a shame Simyaz has been inactive for so long. I don't imagine this story will ever be finished which is a shame and I doubt anyone would be willing to pick it up, even with permission due to Simyaz's proven ability to write these fantastic Mods.

I just finished my playthrough of this and I am absolutely in love with it. No doubt about it I would play it many more times. I really wish there was a continuation of it though! I like the conclusion, but I am also extremely unsatisfied with it. I was hoping for a bit more closure than what was given. I don't know if you plan on continuing it, seeing as how old it is, but I would be absolutely ecstatic if a part two came out. This is one of my favorite quest mods, easy, I like it more than the Gates to Aesgaard, which was previously ranked number one on my personal preference list.

This mod is amazing... besides the awesome story, the ability to go down different paths gives you overwhelming desire to play it multiple times. Not to mention the great voice acting. You should do this for a living if you don't already... best mod I've played!

I have a single question about Malevolent that will determine whether I actually download it or not...Do you actually HAVE to wear the Armor of Malevolence, or is it just really badass looking and powerful (and flavorful)? Because here's the thing...I'm using a lich mod, and, apparently due to engine limitations, I can't just wear whatever I like in lich form, only when I'm disguised as a human. I would like, however, to be able to play through the quest mods I download as a lich. This mod looks awesome enough, however, that I'm willing to wait for someone to notice this post to see what quest mod I want to play through before going back to Morrowind.

Mind you, if I don't get a reply by the time I'm done with everything else, I'll probably just download it and see.
