1.5 Killed my mods no SKE is patched yet. So I had to reisntall a backup but though I can play the game with mods I can't run through the TESModMan 'cause it says "Update to the latest version of Skyrim". I just play with normal TES.INI and it works fine, keeps load order the same just inconvenient.
If you have a backup all you need is the main file info nothing from your Data folder. Just backup Updated version too because Steam will not Update the same patch twice w\o a reinstall. If you ever want the 1.5 patch save it.

SKSE has been updated.
Script Dragon has been updated.
You can always do what I did and start from scratch with a clean version of Skyrim 1.5 with no mods installed other than the DLC High Res Texture Pack. Just be careful what kind of mods you put back in as some things have been tweaked/fixed by Bethesda such as how smithing values work. If you are going to use mods that alter the vanilla crafting values I would make sure those mods are updated for 1.5. Anything that "tweaks" things should be carefully looked at to make sure it's updated to work with 1.5. i.e. crafting values, killcams, etc...
If you are having issues with water there are probably atleast 2 possible causes as far as I can tell.
1. ENB shaders are doing something to the new underwater and possibly its DOF effects (this may have been fixed by now, I don't know since I don't use ENB).
2. Realistic Water and Terrain 2.0's waterfalls causes issues with save games in case you uninstall it or migrate to WATER 1.0/1.1 by OpticShooter. Plus I am not sure if the 1.5 underwater DOF works with RWT 2.0. Your best option is to uninstall RWT 2.0 and install WATER 1.0/1.1 and start a brand new game.
Hope this helps.

Judging from the haphazard nature of these bugs and their tendency to effect different computer setups in different ways, I think we can all agree that Bethesda should here learn the tremendous value of hotfixes.
I am grateful, of course, that Bethesda is devoting so much to Skyrim. This is more support than they gave Oblivion on PC. However, they need to learn that quality is just as important as quantity

Im somewhat scared that this is a sign that Skyrim is on its way to becoming like tf2 with updates and gameplay changes.

my steam blocker method is almost out of beta testing, it will block steam updates completely after 1.4, dont worry about bugs in my work they dont exist. im not like bugthesda i test my work very carefully before releasing it to the public. so it has quality and makes people able to use it with no stress. that's why it takes a while to release. me and my friend created it together and are both testing it carefully. it will be ready possibly by tomorow. to update skyrim after using my patch method i will add new versions when needed afte they are fully tested and garunteed to work without problems.

@guitartod so far they haven't done anything to "hurt" gameplay. At least not on my system. The game is great and the gameplay is fun! Some of the graphics tweeks they could probably live without and just let the modder community run with (like the grass shadows).
But as far as gameplay goes they are messing with that other then to add to it. The "killcams" are sweet! Glad that ranged and magic are using them. Fried a vamp with lightning and he slow-mode to a pile of dust....seriously sweet!
REALLY could have lived with the grass shadows but i have those disabled now anyway. They should give "options" when doing patches and let the players pick the parts they want. Though I'm sure that isn't really that practicle. But hey....they could try!
