Turning an unique enemy into a friendly NPC via console problems...

(If this is not the right section for this, tell me!)

I've been trying to get a female Redguard warrior follower, and only found one such character in the game, Umana, an unique enemy. I went ahead to change some faction deals to solve that:

(targeted her)

removefac d19b3 (DunAlftandUmanaHostileFaction, the hostile faction she belongs to, and the only one as well, according to the wiki)

setrelationshiprank player 4

addfac 5A1A4 1 (to make it a friendly character)

addfac 5C84D 1 (follower)

addfac 19809 1 (marriageable, since I don't want to go to a ruin that often)

It works quite well, except for a problem: If dimissed as a follower, she turns hostile against any citizien and vica versa, with stuff like this happening. May I ask what should I do console-wise to get rid of that? Thank you!

Not changing, she still attacks anything in sight when not following. I guess she has more factions not shown at the UESP, any command that shows faction of selected entity, or do I have to get the Creation Kit?

On a related note, is it posible to get a sabre cat to act like one of the follower dogs?

Well, then the aggression needs to be lowered. Try "setav aggression 1".

There are a few ways to go about the dog-into-sabrecat thing. One would be to edit the follower quest in the CK and adding the SabreCat race to it, and creating a new passive Sabrecat, or finding a dog and doing "Setrace SabreCat".

I made Umana into a follower by first being a vampire and turning her into one so she was a follower, then curing her, she tended to attack Lydia on sight inside Breezehome when she was still a vampire. Also when dissmissed and says she will return home, she walks out of whiterun and i haven't worked out where she is going yet.

*edit - She goes back to the spot I turned her in Alftand

it actually depends on their mood. In order to make them stop killing people after you let them o you press "setav mood 2 or 3" It makes them happy or neutral and they only attack enemies who are freaking pissed.

hey i do this same thing for a forsworn but there i no option to say "follow me"

I'm currently having this same problem with a vampire I want to enlist into my small battalion.

Talk about necro..lol

The reason you don't get the follow me is because their voice is not listed as follower voice type.

Same goes for marriage, voicetype must be in the marriage voice type list.

Follower dialogue is based on voice type as well as factions.

I don't think there is a console command to add a form to a formlist (I could be wrong as I haven't checked).

using scripts your able to bypass the voice type check by adding the actor voice to one of the follower voice type lists that the dialogue compares against..

Well that's how I got around adding anyone as a follower in my own mod.
